Apologies, the auto-start box has recently disappeared and will reappear shortly (in the next version), potentially resolving your issue.

It sounds like @"Gigglepot" is correct. That message is being generated somewhere. It doesnt sound like its coming from our application. Once the file is on the PC, then it should transfer to our folder without issue. Hope this helps you.

I've been looking into this over the last week, just came across this thread. In short, @"Rich" is right. This is Microsoft functionality that we have no control over.

It becomes very complicated but basically everyone is correct. Emojis will cause a file not to sync. Some emojis are unicode and will sync without issues, others will not. Its all down to which ones fall within ASCII I believe

@"FrankLinux" beat me to it. The script mentioned would be the best way.
-
Not sure why my text ended up including that emoji??? - we'll take it as a good sign.

Selective sync for a Folder-level solution. https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads/selective-sync-overview If your running a headless setup you can use an exclude list: https://help.dropbox.com/desktop-web/linux-commands Hope this helps you.

Hi @"monaronyc" and others, The issue reported with the preferences not loading the right screen / not being able to enable Smart Sync is an issue we're actively investigating right now. I hope to be in touch with an update shortly. Many thanks for highlighting.

Hi, If you click Privacy on the far right > select Accessibility > tick Dropbox. Hope this helps you.

Hi there, Technically it can be done. To install Dropbox on your Kindle device, please take the following steps: * Open the Kindle's main Setting app. On most devices you can find the settings by tapping "Apps" at the top of the Kindle's home screen, then selecting "Settings." * From the Settings app, tap "Applications". *…

We'd also be curious to know: If Dropbox is turned off does the issue replicate? That will tell us if it's us or a 3rd party application that's holding the file locks or us. It doesn't sound like a permissions error that's popping up however that might explain why it's on all files/folders in the Dropbox folder (if this is…

Hi all, Many apologies for the delay in responding here. We noticed a bug in High Sierra (10.13) where Finder counts the size of offline files, despite them not actually taking up space. Apple had originally fixed this in 10.12 but it looks like it has re-appeared in 10.13. The files aren't taking up space, though the…

Yes, there's no way for a Windows user to perform the rename as the files are on everyone else's systems, but not the Windows machine. While you could use a script to make the change, I'd go about re-educating staff about this otherwise, it'll be a constant issue. Simple internal reminders to not use certain characters in…

I'd agree with Mark here. If you can get the images from the SD card on to the iPad then at that point we'll detect them. This is more of an SD card -> iPad issue. Once it's on the iPad then iOS will pick them up and add them to Photos. Once in Photos then Dropbox will detect and sync them. [This thread is now closed. If…

It's one of these things: - They have left the shared folder. Have them place a random txt file in there, check online if it has added to the shared folder? ... if they say yes and you don't see it then that's your answer. - The folder they are working on isn't in Dropbox / their Dropbox app isn't running. That text file…

For those having issue performing a specific routing task: If you were to outline what you are doing, and the error you are hitting, then the community here may be able to help you resolve the issue. The space shouldn't stop you performing the task you are doing. Again I would advise; there is a space in our folder name,…

Hey @"rellinor", That sounds like security software, it's corrupting the meta-installer. ..and invaliding the offline installer too (though that's not very common at all). Try downloading with security software temporarily disabled. Alternatively, should you not wish to do that, download the offline installer on another…

Hi @"Verwijs", Unfortunately we do not support that version of Linux, as such we wouldn't be able to make adjustments to assist running on this build. Apologies if this is interrupting your enjoyment or use of the product.

Hi @"ncgupta38", Sorry, I'm not clear what you are asking? This thread is for comments about this build of the Dropbox desktop client.

Hi @"cvonie", Looks like you're hitting Selective sync conflicts. All those grey minuses... https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads/selective-sync-conflicts If you resolve you selective sync conflict issues then you should start to see it behaving as expected.

Hi @"Mark", Amongst the code changes, improvements and refinements included in this beta is a fix for users on Mac 10.6.4 who suffered an error on update: ImportError: Bundle couldn't be loaded
-
Hi @"katnappa", This thread is about dbx.sys writing to the error log when it doesn't connect - which is expected behavior. If you are seeing security, application or systems error then I'd suggest opening a new thread as they will be unrelated to this. This thread is about the driver connection frequency. Originally it…

@"Rich" is spot on. A .exe isn't a previewable format. it requires Windows to 'EXEcute' the program to run it. It's a little unusual for the program to output a file in such a format in my experience.

You can add and remove at different levels there. You should be able to remove one (unpin via right click) without the other disappearing. Have you tried unpinning the one you don't want? Essentially they're just shortcuts, you can have as many as you want in different areas.

Hi there, We make no edits or changes to files - ever - be it images, text, size, fonts, anything at all. The exact data that was uploaded to our server will appear online and will sync down to any other connected devices. As a result, Dropbox wouldn't be the cause of what you are seeing. When fonts change: - the machine…

Hi there, Is there by any chance a comma in the file name? If so try removing that. [This thread is now closed by moderators due to inactivity. If you're experiencing a similar behavior, feel free to start a new discussion in the Find Answers section here. ]

hi @"Don B.5", Sorry for the delay in spotting this. I'll reach out to you via email. Many thanks.
-
Hey @"Marcf" , I've sent you an email and will follow up via that. Many thanks.

Hi there, Thanks for reporting this, you are not alone. We're already investigating this at our end. If you have a support ticket lodged we'll update you on it as soon as we release a fix. Many apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for reporting!
