Reboot sometimes removes spurious locks. Not today. It DOES sound like some program opens at startup and opens the file (possible as an MRU - most recently used) for editing. IOW it is an OS problem, not a DB problem.

The file "lock" is not AFIK "sync'd" by dropbox. Turn off computer power and try again.

Evangelos, If you have a security camera that takes single frames then those can be put directly into your dropbox-folder. Be careful in choosing cameras because some will only store a stream as a single file and as long as frames arrive the file is open and DB cannot sync it until the file is closed.

John, Dropbox upload is more reliable and often faster than FTP because DB uploads in 5MB chunks and if an upload is interupted only the last chunk is repeated whereas with FTP it usually has to start over.

There are two additional ways to 'kill' a link: change the path (rename a upper level folder) or click the 'x' in "LINKS'.

DB does not share their 'roadmap' for new features, so you can keep your fingers crossed.

Normally the OS provides that information from your dropbox folder on your harddrive. Hover over the DB icon to see if it is "up to date".
