Yes. If it was still available this long after they original removed the option elsewhere, perhaps they decided to leave it active in that location. In that case, you should open a ticket so they're aware.

Ah, Ok. The Public folder is the reason I didn't see it (I rarely use mine anymore). Creating a share link elsewhere does not provide an option for shortening the link. And, I can confirm the same now. It's not working for me either. You (and everyone else!) should contact Support by opening a ticket. Open your ticket…

Can you post a screenshot? I'm curious where you're doing this because Dropbox started phasing out the ability to create shortened links years ago. One of the last places that still allowed it was when posting a share link to Twitter. I haven't seen any other reference to shortened links in at least two years.

No one here can help with this problem. YOU NEED TO CONTACT POCKETBOOK.
-
The solution is to contact PocketBook. They're the only ones that can provide a solution to this.
-
You'll need to contact PocketBook as it is their product. They're the ones that would have included the Dropbox functionality (via the Dropbox API). Dropbox cannot support third-party products.

Public links don't give you that option. Only share links do. Share links are created by selecting Copy Dropbox Link and can be created for any file in your account (not just within the Public folder, which in no longer present in new accounts).

I am completely sure that's the reason for stopping XP from Dropbox. And you are completely wrong. Edit: For clarity's sake, I am not the one that closed this post. That occurred after I posted.

It's likely just trying to update itself as auto-updates are pushed out as needed. If you ignore them, the software will eventually be unable to communicate with Dropbox.

Just wanted to rename my files and now unable to get access. When you renamed the files you likely removed the file extension (the three or four characters after the period in the file name; .docx, .jpg, .xlsx, etc.). That extension is what systems (your operating system, Dropbox, etc.) use to determine what application…

Is this how it should be? Yes, by deleting the folder without un-sharing it first, you basically removed yourself from it and left it available for everyone else. To remove a shared folder from other users you need to either kick them out of it or un-share it. * https://www.dropbox.com/help/314 *…

First, remember that share links and shared folders work very differently. If you rename a file or folder that you've created a link to, anyone accessing that link will see the new name. Share links do not sync to other users, so nothing will be renamed on their local computers. If they had previously downloaded the…

1) Correct. The cache folder is used to hold the files that are syncing as well as a copy of files deleted on other devices (for approximately three days, more on that in a bit*). If you delete the content while it's downloading, it will just start the download over from the beginning. 2) The folders get recreated as…
