You'll need to contact support for the viewer app that you're using. Dropbox has no control over that, and just uses the viewers that are built-in to your phone. The fact that other applications can open the file shows that it's not a Dropbox issue.

That's a function of your operating system; not Dropbox. Do a Google search for "show hidden files on Windows/Mac/Linux" and you'll find what you need.

I corrected the link. It just had an extra period at the end of it.

CTRL-A already does select all files and folders on the screen. Pressing CTRL-A to select all If it's not working for you, then it's likely your browser overriding it, since CTRL-A is a default shortcut to select all text on a page in most browsers. It could also be that you're not in focus (the files and folders aren't…

If you don't see the X to close the session, then it's the session that you're currently using. Hover your cursor over the i and it will show you the IP address for that session. It's likely the IP address of your modem/router, etc.

The Dropbox app uses the viewers that are built-in to your device's operating system. In other words, your device needs to be capable of playing them. If it can't, then Dropbox can't. You'll need to find an application that is capable of playing the files, and then use it to open them.

First, Dropbox isn't a backup solution and shouldn't be used as one. It's a file synchronization service, meant to keep a copy of files in sync across multiple devices. Anything you do to the files on one device happens on all of them. Yes, it has some backup-like functionality, but there are far better backup services out…

You need to provide more information before anyone will be able to help you. What device type? How are you downloading the video? What error message are you getting? etc. We can't help unless we know what you're trying to do and what is happening in the process.

Attach the screenshot, because I have a feeling that it's not Dropbox doing it, especially if you've disabled notifications.
-
That's not User Account Control. That's the Windows 10 notification system. Either disable the various notification options in Dropbox Preferences, or turn off Dropbox in Windows' notification options.

You'll probably need to ask Support those questions, but if I had to guess, they likely won't provide that information.

Dropbox typically does not share release dates. That being said, I have the feature available on my iPhone (in both the beta and public releases). Dropbox does tend to roll things out in stages, so if you don't have it available to you just yet, I would say that it's likely not far off. And remember, this is a Pro/Business…

Then there's no option to disable it. As I mentioned, it's your OS that is displaying it. Dropbox just sends a message to your OS. Your OS displays it. Look to your OS to control notifications.
-
Preferences in the Dropbox application on your computer. Your phone doesn't have anything to do with it.

Disable notifications completely in Dropbox Preferences. Otherwise, look to your OS for options because that screen is from your OS, not Dropbox.
-
Does it look like this: If so, that's your OS that's doing it. Dropbox doesn't control what the popup looks like. It just sends a notification to your OS, and your OS handles the rest.

Thanks for the update. I had pointed this thread out to a contact within Dropbox, and they asked someone to take a look.
