  • What do you mean by archiving files? Dropbox, when installed on your computer, is just a folder like any other. Any files you move into the Dropbox folder are copied into your account online. Any changes you make in that folder or in your account online are then synced back and forth. Dropbox is not an archive or backup…
  • No. That option no longer exists.

  • A share link, by its nature, is a shared file. People will know it's shared, but not with whom and they can't see that it's shared with anyone else. It's just a link to the file; nothing more. Just know that ANYONE that has the link can access the file. Anyone that you give the link to can forward it to anyone else.
  • Neil K. wrote:But the Files app CAN access Onedrive when it's passcode lock is enabled, so why can't it do it with Dropbox? Because at the moment, it can't. It will likely be able to in a later update. There are many iOS 11-specific items that are still being worked on. Have patience... Before the last update Files COULD…
  • Irwin wrote: But I totally could not access to Dropbox unless I disable the passcode lock in Dropbox That is expected behavior. If your Dropbox app is passcode protected, then you can not use the Files app to access Dropbox. You'll need to remove the passcode from the Dropbox app. Look at it this way. You've locked down…
  • There isn't anything for Dropbox to fix. Issues such as this are almost always caused by something specific to the computer, and are not a wider Dropbox issue that they have control over. Possible causes are antivirus or firewalls interfering with the connection, incorrect date and time settings, etc. See the following…

  • You'll need to contact the creators of ES File Explorer Pro. Dropbox can only provide support for the Dropbox app. Any other app used to access Dropbox would only be using the Dropbox API, and it's up to the developers of that app to support it.
  • cyan1 wrote: This is ridiculous- me too. Using incognito? Using an Incognito or private browser session assures that your not loading any cached data. It's a clean browser session used to eliminate a possible browser problem. It's not a requirement to use it to unsubscribe; it's a troubleshooting step. Why does this have…

When you join a Business account with an active Plus account, any remaining time on your Plus account is refunded back to your original payment method. • If they're not marked as Available Offline, then Dropbox would have downloaded them to its cache. There's a Clear Cache button in Settings but it's been mostly useless since it was introduced. Dropbox will clear its own cache periodically. The only way to force it (outside of the useless button) is to uninstall and…

  • Allow your subsctiption to expire or run out so that you're no longer a Plus user, or downgrade your account to Basic yourself. Once it has expired, re-subscribe using your new payment information. [This thread is now closed by moderators due to inactivity. If you're experiencing a similar behavior, feel free to start a…

  • You need to provide more information about the problem you're having. Are you opening Excel files from the Dropbox folder on your desktop, or the Dropbox website? Does the problem only occur with files in your Dropbox folder, or elsewhere on your computer as well? Have you dragged one of the problem files out of your…
  • Completely fake. The IP address is from an Internet service provider in India, and the domain is known for malware. Very likely a phishing attempt. Forward it (with full headers) to abuse@dropbox.com.
  • You can remove all contacts imported from third-party services, but there's no way to remove or edit individual entries. Instead, you'll need to just type the correct email address when you need to share something with that person.
  • Dropbox doesn't change or remove file extensions. Are you sure that they're being removed and not just hidden by the operating system when downloaded? Also, if there's no application to support MP3 files on the computer, then they wouldn't be playable even if they had their extensions. If they really don't have their…
  • This has been requested many times over the years and it has never been implemented. I seriously doubt that it ever will be.

  • It can work, but it's not a supported configuration and if you run into any problems, you'll be on your own. Basically, you'll install Dropbox on the first OS and specify the location you want the Dropbox folder to be in. Wait for the account to be fully synced. If you use Selective Sync at all, disable it so ALL folders…

  • There actually is a beta program for iOS, though there are a limited number of participants due to the restrictions that Apple has in place. I believe Apple limits the number of testers to 100 per platform. I would try replying to the following topic and mentioning @"Bruce". He might reach out to you if there are still…
