  • Have you checked to see if it's still installed? If the Dropbox app is installed but not running, you won't have the icon. Just run the app from your Start menu again. If the app is no longer installed, then something on your computer is removing it. It wouldn't be anything to do with Dropbox. As for having to re-sync when…

  • Apple restricts the amount of time that an app can remain active in the background. I think it's something like 10 minutes. In order to get around that, Dropbox uses a change in your location to trigger the app to "wake up" and continue uploading in the background. If you don't allow Dropbox to have access to your location…
  • Refer to my reply above (I merged your thread into an existing one). I would also suggest everyone open a ticket with Support if you're experiencing this issue. • Dropbox seems to be uploading not only the Camera Roll, but the Photo Stream as well. I disabled Photo Stream and my duplicates stopped. Still waiting to hear back from Dropbox on that.
  • Agreed with Mark. Pretty sure if it's in your account and not deleted, it will count against your storage quota.

  • During the installation there's an Advanced Options link. if you click that you can specify the location for your Dropbox folder. Be sure to select the folder ABOVE Dropbox, or you'll end up creating a Dropbox within your Dropbox. If it tells you that the location already contains a Dropbox folder, then follow these steps.…
  • Dropbox does not have any ability to change the time and date stamps of your files. You'll either need to use the options available in your operating system, or a third-party utility that allows you change them. [This thread is now closed by moderators due to inactivity. • As Mark mentioned, the API being used by that app was retired. You'll need to contact the developers of the app you're using as this is a problem that only they can resolve. In June of 2016, Dropbox notified third-party developers that the Dropbox API v1 was being deprecated and any applications that still used it would…

  • You need to update your app to use the newer API v2. I'm moving your post to the API forum.

  • You can no longer delete from the Photos page. You need to select a photo and choose View in folder. From there you can delete it.

  • Symlinks can work in Dropbox but they are not supported, and depending on where you created them, can result in the files being synced twice, taking up twice the amount of storage. Mark's suggestion is the correct one. Just don't do it. If something goes wrong, it won't be pretty.

  • The Dropbox is still an indicator of whether or not Dropbox is syncing, complete or no longer connected. It just looks different. Visit the link I posted above for the new icons and what they mean. All of the same information that was available with the green check is still available today.
  • Just to clarify, that's not a message from Dropbox, but from your operating system. Windows is telling you that you don't have enough space. If you need to move your Dropbox folder to a new drive, you can do it from Preferences. * https://help.dropbox.com/desktop-web/move-dropbox-folder
  • That's referring to the available space on your hard drive; not in your Dropbox account. I have 51GB of available space on the local drive where Dropbox is located. If I try to move a folder into Dropbox that (in this case) is 463GB, I receive the same message that you receive, telling me that I need an additional 412GB of…
