I don't believe there's an option to disable notifications for File Requests.

If you're viewing them on the Dropbxo website, then you're viewing a transcoded preview of the original. To view the original video, it needs to be downloaded and played on a computer.

I doubt the 259 MB of space she received had anything to do with the referral. Referrals award 500 MB of space, no less. More than likely the entire referral (both your side and hers) was inelegible. This can happen if you're both on the same network, or if she used a computer that previously had Dropbox installed. No one…

I've notified someone within Dropbox but they likely won't see the message for a few hours still. Tagging @"Jane", @"Lusil", @"Jay"

As the message states, the file is more than likely in an older Excel file format (2007 or older). Newer versions of Excel save files in a different format. While you can open and view the older formats, you usually can't edit them in the iOS apps. This is a Microsoft issue, and unrelated to Dropbox.

Nothing has changed. Dropbox does not have a feature that allows you to send files to your account through email. There have been third-party services in the past that provide such functionality. Some have been discontinued. Others can be found with a Google search.

This isn't a Dropbox issue, but a limitation of Windows. Folders ending with a period cannot be created on Windows, so Dropbox is unable to sync them to a Windows comptuer. If you try create such a folder manually, Windows will simply remove the dot. *…

Were the files marked as Local, or Online-only? If they were Online-only then what you synced were just the placeholders for the files. You need to make sure the files are fully synced to your local drive and display a green check mark. Only then are the actual files on your computer, at which point you can move or copy…

The copy of Word you use on your computer is different from the Word Online version that Microsoft offers. Word Online doesn't support all of the features or possible formatting that you get from the desktop version of the application. As such, there can be some differences when moving a document between the two versions.

This simply isn't a Dropbox problem. The Camera Uploads feature is meant to upload any new photos or videos it finds in the DCIM folder (Camera Roll on iPhone, Gallery on Android, etc.). Dropbox can't distinguish between the different apps that may be dropping images into that location. It simply sees an image and uploads…

There are plenty of apps in the App Store that are capable of opening .msg files. Install one, then you can open those files from Dropbox. You simply can't preview them in the Dropbox app, and that is not likely to change. Dropbox isn't capable of viewing every file format that exists (nor should it be).

Through a share link, you can't. You can only view and save them one at a time to your phone. If you have a Dropbox account you'll also see an option to save the entire folder to your own Dropbox account. If you do that, then open the folder within the Dropbox app on your phone, you can select multiple photos and save them…

Either first export the video from the Dropbox app to your Camera Roll, or use the Files app (assuming Youtube gives you the option) and navigate to your Dropbox folders from there.

The .dropbox file is required. The desktop.ini file is created by your operating system. You can delete it (though it controls aspects of the folder) and it will just be recreated again. Why don't you just turn off the display of hidden folders and files in Windows, and all three will no longer be visible.
