I too have this issue. I have a Blackberry KeyONE which runs Android 8.1.0 My Dropbox settings are : * camera uploads on * background uploading on (when battery 25% ), on WiFi only. Last night my phone was plugged in (quickly reaching 100% ) and at home on my home WiFi network. The photos I had taken earlier were not…

The original notification about the changes said (with no sense of irony, apparently) "Creating a better photos experience We’re continuing to work on new photos and file experiences on dropbox.com. As we learn more about how our users prefer to work with photos, we’ll launch improvements to the experience." At the moment,…

"We’re continuing to work on new photos and file experiences on dropbox.com. As we learn more about how our users prefer to work with photos, we’ll launch improvements to the Photos page." .... Bahahaha .... isn't "how our users prefer to work with photos" OBVIOUS?

This xkcd on "Photo Library Management" is apropos: https://xkcd.com/1832/ especially the alt (mouseover) text which reads "A good lifehack is to use messy and unstable systems to organize your photos. That way, every five years or so it becomes obsolete and/or collapses, and you have to open it up and pick only your…

I wouldn't say RichardDBX (Dropboxer)'s answer above is the solution. Rather it's partial clarification. But most of this we already knew. Maybe it's fairer to say that Dropbox has the perception that features like albums are primarily for consumers. Maybe comments like the ones above will convince them…

The page https://www.dropbox.com/help/photos-videos/changes-photos?oref=e says "As we learn more about how our users prefer to work with photos, we’ll launch improvements to the experience." I think it's pretty clear that many users "prefer to work with photos" by keeping the albums that they spent so long creating ...

For those thinking of switching, as I am, here is a recent of photo sharing sites https://www.cnet.com/how-to/comparing-the-best-ways-to-store-your-photos-online/ I am thinking either Flickr or Google Photos. Unfortunately I had just renewed Dropbox for a year ... I wonder if I can get my $$ back? (Ironically, the review…

This is a serious negative. What is Dropbox thinking? And wouldn't you know it, I had just renewed for a year ...

Organization based on folders will be a huge pain. If you want to show different subsets of the photos to different people, you will have to manually organize them in a folder, making copies as necessary ? Ugh ... no thanks.
