Hey @"Redhotpaddy", are you having an issue with any file, or is this issue only occurring for Excel files? Also, do you use the same email address for both Dropbox and Google/Microsoft?
-
Hey @"SimonB_DO", thanks for checking! Since this behavior is present on both browsers, would you mind reaching out to your client -if possible-, in order to ask more as to what type of plan they're using on their end?
-
Awesome news @"HP8"! 😀 Give us a shout if you need anything else!
-
Thanks for checking @"HP8"! Can you also try to clear your browser's cache and try an incognito mode too? Also, I know this might sound trivial but have you re-started your device at all?
-
Hey @"jrkrideau", let me also jump in here! That could be possible. As for your Dropbox folder: what happens if you click the Dropbox icon on your desktop? Does it re-direct you to your Dropbox folder by any chance? Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the app?
-
Hey @"Redhotpaddy", I've found this article on the Microsoft support page, can you take a look and let me know if it helps at all? Have you tried reinstalling both apps and/or clearing their cache?
-
Hey @"HP8", thanks for posting here today! Do you happen to know approximately how many files you have in that folder, or the folder's size? If I were you, I'd also try to download the folder using a different browser, and check if the results remain the same. Keep me posted!

Hi @"VLADA1", I hope you're doing well! If I understand this correctly, you wish to know more in regards to the 3TB and more storage, right? If not, feel free to clarify more. In any case you can purchase a Team plan, however the minimum amount of licenses for it would be 3. You can always consider the Dropbox Essentials…

Hm, odd @"stevecjames". The .mp3 files should preview when you use the iOS mobile app. Could you try clearing the app's cache through its settings, and let me know if you notice the same behavior?
-
You have a great point there, but maybe it has to do with a browser's bug or the cache there @"Noleafcloverx". In any case, I want to rule it out entirely but if this doesn't work either, we'll troubleshoot further.
-
Would you mind clarifying your mobile's OS, and the Dropbox version you're using there @"stevecjames"? Do you get the same error for all of your .mp3 files?
-
Hey @"MaryVuozzo1914", it came directly from a Dropbox domain because someone hacked the user's Dropbox account and managed to share content with you. You can have a look at the relevant Help Center article, on how to protect yourself from phishing and other viruses.
-
Hey @"Noleafcloverx", thanks for the info! It might have something to do with the browser's cache. Have you tried clearing it, to see if the behavior remains the same?
-
I just checked, and it shows that your case remains open @"Lettuce1". As a matter of fact, there was a response from you earlier today, is that correct?
-
Hey @"stevecjames"! Do you get the same error when trying to open your .mp3 files using your browser? If you download the file locally on the device, does it preview?
-
Hey guys! Still no update on this. We'll make sure to update the thread if we have any additional news, however there's no estimated ETA at the moment. Thanks!
-
Hey @"Dan Laferriere", thanks for posting here! You mentioned that when you use an incognito tab on your browser, and paste the link there you get a generic Dropbox URL. Would you be able to send me a screenshot? Have you also tried clearing your browser's cache, by any chance?
-
Hey @"MaryVuozzo1914", welcome to our Community! First off, I'm glad you knew where to look and how to act when it comes to phishing cases like this one. In the initial case that you mentioned, and especially since the account of the sender was hacked the best approach here would be to use this link and report it to us as…
-
Hey @"jkc-muc"! Does this Help Center article help? If you need more clarification, by all means let me know.
-
Hi @"vladix", thanks for posting here! We'll do our best to resolve it. In order to have accessibility to more tools on our end, I went ahead and created an email on my end for you. Reply back to me, and we'll take it from there!
-
Thanks for the heads up @"emendelson"! Out of curiosity: if you try to right click on a file/folder inside your Dropbox folder, do you have the option to make files online-only or available offline? Also, would you mind clarifying the exact Dropbox version you're currently using? You mentioned that you're using our latest…
-
Hey @"emendelson", odd indeed! I just checked from a different device, and everything is back on track. Are you able to click on the setting at all, or is it unclickable? Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the app?
-
Take your time, and definitely feel free to update us @"jkc-muc".
-
Just to double check with you @"Ilanga Eyewear", is everything working the way they should now?
-
Hey @"emendelson", I'm not entirely sure if you meant for this message to be empty, but it seems that if you tried to attach a screenshot, it failed to attach.
-
Hey @"iviansur", let me also jump in here! There isn't an exact setting that allows you to achieve exactly what you mentioned. However, you can change the default permissions for shared links, prevent members from sharing externally or set an expiration for new links shared outside your team by visiting the settings found…
-
Hey @"xorg", thanks for posting here! A shared folder can only change ownership if the person that created it passed it on to another member. If this didn't happen, then the folder was most likely created by someone else. What is the end goal here? Do you wish to remove the folder, or simply change its ownership? Let me…
-
Hey @"EB10", it's odd that you don't see the folder when visiting your sharing tab. I'd also suggest that the owner tries to remove and add you back into the folder, but if this isn't possible by any means, then we'll try to find a different way to resolve it.
-
Great @"dnemes"! Keep us posted in any case! 😀
-
Hey @"kristenstehli11", what do you see when you visit your plan page online? Would you be able to send me a screenshot of the error you get when trying to upload your documents, and clarify the platform you're using on your end (website, mobile or desktop app)?
