just an idea with the observation named above: was there a change in beta on a not that visible topic, e.g. how file pathes were handeled? -> Or any other thing that does not change the "last change date" of a file but modify some (meta) properties which does not lead to change of the "last change date" of the files? when looking into file properties from all (many) files: - the change date did not change - the last access was on the day of dropbox update (even for files I can garantie that I didnt open them for several month/nor looked into their folder)

just deinstalled boxcrayptor and reinstalled it. Same behaviour: within dropbox path I can't open files encrypted files, copying them to another location everything is fine.
