  • Hi there, @"DavidBTeag3_142", sorry to hear about this. Initially, thank you for carrying out the steps you mention in order to troubleshoot on the matter. In order to further investigate, I’d kindly recommend to continue this discussion via email. For this reason, I was able to locate you open request from my end, and I…
  • Hey, Larry, thanks for getting back to me on this and for the detailed description. Syncing your files can take time if you have many files/large files. Even though the files have been placed into the Dropbox folder, it doesn't mean the syncing has completed to the website and to other connected devices. This would also…
  • Hi there, @"ljh34481"! Initially, could you please clarify if this is a shared link or a shared folder? Also, could you please ensure that your files are synced on your account? Are you able to view them via the website? If you uploaded the files via the desktop app, could you please hover over the Dropbox icon and let me…
  • Hey @"gherney"! Initially, could you please ensure that you meet the software requirements outlined here? Furthermore, could you please try the following and see if the Dropbox folder opens:* Double-clicking on the Dropbox icon. * Selecting the folder icon on the Notification panel. If that doesn't work, have you tried…
  • Thanks for letting us know, @"Alofbk"! If you have any other questions or feedback for us, just give us a shout. In the mean time, have a lovely day!
  • Hey there @"Alofbk"! When you’re using the presentation mode of a Paper doc (which you can start by clicking on the Play button that’s on the top right-hand side of your screen), you can split the doc into sections similar to a slideshow by adding a separator in between, or in other words, a line. This line will only be…
  • Glad to have helped, @"Ignem"! As mention before, if there’s anything else you’d like to forward, just give me a shout. In the mean time, have a lovely day ahead! :sunglasses:
  • Hi @"Ignem"! I just wanted to add my two cents on this too. I wasn’t able to highlight some text via the Paper mobile app like I can via the website, unless I added a comment on that selected text. Nonetheless, I’d be more than happy to pass your comments along to the dev team for future consideration. In the mean time, if…
  • Hi there, @"gilespye"! From what I understand, initially you had some folder selectively synced. Please remember that when you check them to sync again, they update to the latest version of themselves. @"gilespye" wrote:how can I click o a file/folders online, to pull them down onto my computer. This is part of syncing…
  • Thanks for getting back to me on this, @"Borney". In order to further investigate on this then, we’d have to continue this via email. Would it be alright with you if I emailed you to the email address associated with your Forum profile?
  • Thanks for the screenshot, @"Borney"! Do you see the same size being reported via the website if you navigate to the Plan tab by: * Sign in to dropbox.com. * Click on your avatar on the top right corner of your screen. * Select Settings. * Navigate to the Plan tab. If you do, then please note that your account is reporting…
  • Hi @"jary_capstone"! I’ve gone ahead and moved it to the developer section of the Forum; perhaps some like-minded community members will have some more ideas to share on this with you. Cheers!
  • Since it’s an image, you can do it from either options as shown below on my screenshot: Let me know if this does the trick for you, @"Borney"!
  • Hey, @"Borney"! Could you please send me a screenshot (omitting any personal info) as to where you’re seeing this discrepancy? Are you seeing a different space reported elsewhere? Let me know!
  • Hey peeps! This notification pops up when you are close or at your limit of your storage. Could you please check how much space is being used up by navigating to your Plan tab? Through the Plan tab, you can see your current subscription, as well as more details on your storage, such as how much space is available, and how…
  • Hi @"joshimali"! Changes can be viewed from Doc history by owners and editors (excluding those who can only comment from the permission settings). Furthermore, if the other user is following this Paper doc, they’ll receive an email notification with changes that have occurred. You could also notify them of changes that…
  • Hey there @"Shiva Shankar M1". You mention: @"Shiva Shankar M1" wrote:if you know the email address but it was upgraded to new email address Could it be that you’re referring to another Dropbox account? Could it be that you’ve created a new Dropbox account with another email address? In any case, if you know the email…
  • Glad to hear that, @"g v."! If you have any other questions in the future, just give us a shout. In the mean time, have a wonderful day ahead! :sunglasses:
  • Hey @"garzjoe", in order to change the name of a device to appear differently on the website, you’d have to change the name of the device itself. To do this, follow the steps below: * Unlink your computer. * Change the name of the device from the computer’s settings. * Relink your device once more. Since the security tab…
  • Hi there, sorry to hear about this. @"g v." wrote: Is it better to change names on the web interface and let the changes sync to the computers from there? Indeed, it might be a resolution to the behavior you’re experiencing. Try it out, and if you’re still getting some trouble or you’re seeing an error, send me a…
  • Hi there @"Mesz". Initially, can you please let me know what the Dropbox icon reads when you hover over it and send me a screenshot of it? Is it still syncing or up to date? Furthermore, could you please check what your available space is via the website by navigating to your Plan tab? There, you can also see how much…
  • Thanks for the swift reply, @"rishi1". You wouldn’t have to explain it all, as I’ve gone ahead and sent you an email to the email address associated with your Forum profile so as to further investigate on the matter. Please check your inbox for my latest message. Cheers!
  • Hey @"rishi1". Were you able to verify that the Windows UAC levels are set to default levels before uninstalling and reinstalling, as I mention in my previous post? If you did, and you’re still experiencing this behavior, have you submitted a request to our Support team?
  • If you've got this behavior on two devices, @"gearshift", you could try out the reinstallation process (as also mentioned on the third step in my previous post) on one of them, and see if that makes a difference.  Let me know!
  • Thanks for confirming that for me, @"gearshift"! Were you able to check out or carry out any of the steps above that I mention in my previous post? Let me know of any update!
  • Hey, @"gearshift". Initially, please bear in mind that the blue syncing icon illustrates when a file is syncing. Selectively synced folders (as this feature is folder-specific) should not appear in your Dropbox folder, as they are chosen to not sync. Could you be referring to Smart Sync instead by any chance? If this is…
  • Hi there @"Joeterrylenny"! To calculate the size of files and folders via the website, have a look at this article for more info. @"Joeterrylenny" wrote:Do I have to pay for premium to be able to download anything over 2gb? • Hi there @"hrhodin"! Initially, please bear in mind that you can see if a shared folder is shared by the two little people that the folder will have at the front.
