Hey @"goldencat", thanks for nudging us on this thread. I understand that you're referring to folders not being moved, but you can also check out our file locking feature, which prevents a file from being edited. In any case, if you have any other questions or feedback for us, don't hesitate to give us a shout. Thanks!

Glad to have helped, @"zacanger", and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. If anything else comes up in the future, just give us another nudge. In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely day ahead!

Yes, if you'd like to completely disable the Smart Sync option, you'll have to turn the system extensions off. Let me know if that does the trick, @"zacanger"!

Hey everyone, thanks for nudging us back on this thread. You are right, when you're done editing a file with the third party apps you mention you get the error message for, the best way to resolve it is to save the file and exit the application in question. Dropbox should then sync the file right away. I understand though…

Hey everyone, thanks for your ongoing reports. When you're done with a file associated with the third party apps you are using that result in this error, the best way to resolve this is to save the file and exit the application you were using. Dropbox should then sync the file right away. I hope this helps to some extent,…

Hey @"Llerraff ", thanks for nudging me back. Since Basic (free) accounts can link up to three devices, and you have one iOS and two Android mobiles already with the mobile app installed, you won't be able to sign in on a fourth device. In any case, and as mentioned earlier, if you have access to the shared folders…

Thanks for keeping me in the loop, @"zacanger", and glad to hear that you were able to resolve your initial concern. As for the files, you are right, when you sync a folder back from your selective sync settings and you have Smart Sync, it'll sync as online-only by default. However, could you check if Smart Sync is indeed…
-
Hello @"Llerraff", thanks for reaching out to us. Syncing generally happens automatically when the desktop app is connected to the internet and running, while the mobile app doesn't need to sync, as it reflects the contents of the website. Having said that, could you clarify what exactly you're trying to achieve? Are you…

Hello @"Deadtree22", thanks for reaching out to us. Out of curiosity, have you tried downloading the file from another browser or previewing it using a different local third party app? Let me know of any updates, cheers!

Thanks for keeping me in the loop, @"feanne", and awesome work with the troubleshooting! If anything else comes up in the future, just give us another nudge. In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely day ahead!

Hey @"zacanger", thanks for nudging us on this thread. Just to make sure that I have a better visual of your concern, could you let me know the following pieces of information? * Are you running the current stable version of the desktop app on your Mac computer? * Could you send me screenshots (without any personal info)…

Hey @"lanebx3" and @"Fergus247o", thanks for nudging us on this thread. As @"Walter" mentions earlier, to have a better look into this, due to account-specific info that'll be needed, go to this link using an incognito window, without signing in, and fill in the information required. Thanks!

Hey everyone, thanks for all your ongoing reports on this, and sorry to hear that you're still having trouble. Out of curiosity, could you let me know if you've tried a simple reinstall of the desktop app? If you have, could you make sure that you have the latest stable version installed (99.4.501) by hovering over your…

In order to have a better look into the matter, I'd recommend continuing via email due to account-specific info that'll be needed. As such, I was able to locate the ongoing investigation that you have with a member of my team and have…

Thanks for keeping me in the loop, @"feanne", and thanks for joining us on this discussion, @"Charlene2". Out of curiosity, could you also check that you have enough storage on your computer to save these files? Are you able to add them via the website and sync them normally?
-
Sure thing, @"marioshadj"! You can post this here, where other like-minded users can comment and upvote it. In the meantime, if you have any other thoughts or questions for us, just give us another nudge. Cheers!

Hi there @"COOPERK", thanks for reaching out to us. Out of curiosity, is there a specific font you'd like to see as an option in your Paper docs? Also, are you referring to the website, the mobile app, or the desktop app? Looking forward to hearing back from you!
-
Hi @"feanne", thanks for reaching out to us about this. Since you've already tried some initial troubleshooting - awesome work by the way! - could you let me know if you've also tried temporarily closing or stopping Google Drive from running? Do you get the same experience with the Dropbox desktop app even then?…
-
Hey @"marioshadj", let's see what we can do on this. Since the computer backup feature creates a folder named after your device's name, you can try the following steps to see if they do the trick: * Turn off the computer backup feature. * Unlink the device from your Security tab. * Rename your computer to what you want it…

Hey @"skyflyer" and @"BBY34", thanks for nudging us on this thread. Out of curiosity, did you try any troubleshooting mentioned on this discussion, including following these steps? Keep me posted!
-
Makes complete sense, @"Garren". So, if Folder B is shared with Anna and you create new folders (in level C) inside it, they will automatically be shared with Anna. You can add more members to Folder B, and they will also have access to any files and folders included in it.

Hey @"Jonathan H.1", thanks for getting back to us. Could you send us a screenshot (without any personal info) so that we have a better visual of the matter? Cheers!

Hi @"Pamela_M", thanks for nudging us on this thread. Since, from what I understand, you're in a Business team, could you please contact our Support team for more info on the matter? If you'd like, you can let me know the ticket ID (eg. #1234567) that'll get created so that I can pass your comments along. Keep me posted,…

Hi there @"Eleanor B.1", thanks for reaching out to us. You can simply install and run the desktop app on your new computer, and it'll sync your active content. Please note though that if you're on a Basic account, you'll have to make sure that you've got less than three devices already connected to proceed. Hope this…
-
Hi @"suel", thanks for nudging us on this thread, and sorry to hear about your frustration. If your computer's folders, such as your Downloads and Documents folders, were added to your Dropbox folder, that would mean that the computer backup feature was enabled. In this case, have a look at this article which mentions how…

Hey @"alexvorn", thanks for checking in with us and, @"RichJ", thanks for keeping us in the loop. @"alexvorn", could you let us know if you've tried any of @"Walter"'s suggestions? Are you still having trouble with high CPU? Also, @"RichJ", thanks for the ongoing troubleshooting so far. Could you have a look at our Support…

Hi there @"cmart6", thanks for nudging us on this thread. If you have the desktop app installed, you'll have a local Dropbox folder with the files that you have in your account. As such, you can attach a photo to a message you'd like to send to another user on Instagram, like you would via any other folder on your…

Hi there @"Garren", thanks for checking in with us. You can indeed have different subfolders (in level B) shared with different users and you can continue to add new folders/files (in level C). Just note that users will only be able to access items in the shared folder that they have access to. As such, if you move items…
