I'm afraid what you're looking for is completely uninstalling the desktop app as the icon on your taskbar is a crucial part of its functionality. Let me know if I'm missing something obvious @"DeerUser69"!

Hey @"pauli" - sorry to hear that! How are you uploading files to your Dropbox Folder exactly? As a headstart you can go here and see if you're out of quota. Have you tried to reproduce this behavior? Are you getting any errors?
