I agree with you but after 10 months of no reply and many extras errors starting to appear it was the best solution I found.

SO the solution I found was to format the Mac. I deleted the Hard drive and reisntalled the OS. It no longer affects the Mac now. The process was restart the mac press Command key + R and enter recovry mode, disk utility, delete the hard drive by clicking erase and after exit and resintall OS. This solved it for me.

I have the same issues and just leave it on the side. Before someone suggested turning of spotlight and I did it, but after I get skype and all types of new errors. I turned it back on as nothing is working and the computer is full of errors from time to time.

Mine is Sierra as well and if I leave it one it did not go away for at least 6 hours. I closed dropbox after that and it stoped.

I enabled it and the error came back. So I have to keep spotlight disable for the error to go away or close dropbox for it to dissaper. I have tried to unsync my dropbox and sync again same error.

I am having the same issue. I tried the code to disable and it has stoped for now. I have not yet enabled it again.
