I have just selected 'Gothic Revival.pptx', right clicked and selected 'Duplicate'. I then selected 'Gothic Revival copy.pptx' (as you see) and the File/Rename option is greyed out. The right click menu does not have the Rename option at all. I have also included the Get Info window so you can see READ & Write is permitted.

Spoiler I am experiencing the same thing with Dropbox 191.3.4950, Ventura 13.6.3. If I duplicate a (.pptx) file in a folder inside Dropbox then Rename is greyed out even though I have Read&Write permission. If I copy to the desktop there is no problem and I can then copy the file back to the folder and there is no problem.…

I have reported this problem previously but I think it was my fault. I have been dragging Dropbox from ~/Library/CloudStorage and it remains there for a few days but I have just discovered that Finder Settings/Sidebar has an entry for Locations Cloud Storage that was unticked. I have ticked it and will let you know if the…

Thank you for replying so rapidly. Obviously in this case my 987GB of Dropbox data are being stored in System Data as there is nowhere else it could be. Note that I am using the beta of the new Mac version (version numbers given above). The Dropbox data is all local and Dropbox is now working well although it took a few…

Dropbox disappeared again from Locations on 17/9/2023 so I put it back from ~/library/CloudStorage. iMac Ventura 13.5.2, Dropbox 183.3.6997

Everything has been fine since yesterday but it only happens about once a week so that is expected. I will let you know if it happens again and I will let it update to the latest beta as the last stable version didn't fix it.

I installed the latest stable version on Wednesday 6th and today, Sunday 10th Dropbox just disappeared from Locations without warning. I have been using it for the last two hours without any problems. There was no notification and I was using Safari at the time. I reinstated it as usual by dragging it from CloudStorage.

I get the same thing with MacOS Ventura 13.5.1, Dropbox 182.3.6348, about once a week Dropbox disappears from Locations but continues to function. I go to ~/Library/CloudStorage and drag it back to Locations. Just a bit annoying.
