  • Hi! You should already be able to insert your Dropbox files via a link into Paper. You can do so in one of two ways: * Paste the Dropbox shared link into Paper, this will generate a preview with the file * Use the insert button in the left margin. For exact steps, see this Help Center article:…
  • Hey Matteo We’re excited to let you know that we’ve rolled out in-line LaTeX support in Paper. To start editing in LaTeX, simply type “$$" to enter LaTeX editing mode, and use the arrow keys to navigate out of the editing mode or press “enter” or “return” to escape it. Try it out and let me know if you have some feedback!
  • Matteo This is a very interesting idea! I've let the Paper team know about the request! Out of interest, how would you use a LaTeX enabled collaboration system?
  • The Dropbox App does not have the functionality to sync files from your Dropbox account to your mobile device. The features that the application has are: * File uploads * File downloads * Option to open files with a specific application (if the application supports that file type) * Move/Delete/Rename files and manipulate…
  • It appears that these duplicate documents were added from the "Samsung Device" app. Samsung created a new deep Dropbox integration for their devices that allows access to all documents in your Dropbox account from a special "DocumentSync" folder on your phone. This DocumentSync feature allows you to add, edit, and delete…
  • Hey guys, can you check this page to confirm the steps you have completed: https://www.dropbox.com/gs
  • Xin Mei The easiest way to know if your device is eligible is to see if you can uninstall Dropbox. If you can uninstall Dropbox, your device did not come preloaded with a eligible promotion. César The Note 4 was only for new users. If you had a Dropbox account before you would not be eligible for the promotion. Guillermo…
  • Shah If your device is eligible for a promotion that is correct. You can use the review this help page to find out if your device is eligible: https://www.dropbox.com/help/7040
  • Hey Henrike! Yes you will receive an email several months before your promotion expires, and another the month before the promotion ends. Changing your device does not impact the promotional space that was granted to your account. The only factor for the expiring date, is when you redeemed the deal. I hope this helps!
  • @Carlos You mentioned that you have a Note 4, did you have a Dropbox account before buying this device? Unfortunately the promotion for the Note 4 is for new accounts only, so if you had created the account before, you would not be eligible. You can review the terms here: https://www.dropbox.com/help/297
  • Rebar, If you are eligible for a promotion from that device, all you need to do is sign in on that device. Lee, The promotion does not need a getting started page on the tablet, you simply need to complete getting started as defined here: * dropbox.com/gs I hope this helps guys!
  • Fanny Can you clarify what you mean by photo library please?
  • Are you getting this message after Dropbox starts? Do you have "Access Denied" messages? In general these messages means the Dropbox desktop client is unable to access the location to sync your files. Can you double check that you don't have any applications open that may be writing to that location?
  • Hey! We actually covered how to fix this on this thread: * https://www.dropboxforum.com/hc/communities/public/questions/202314205 However if you just want to delete the file, try removing it from your Dropbox folder
  • Hi guys! Dropbox uploads your photos in full resolution. However, when photos are previewed in an app or webview, we show you a scaled down version for faster loading. If you’d like to view your photos in full resolution, I would recommend downloading the photo using the Dropbox client or using the download button.
  • Are you using the Dropbox app on Android or iOS, the Dropbox application or just the Dropbox website?
  • Dropbox will upload files at full resolution, but preview them at a downscaled resolution to conserve bandwidth. To view the files at full resolution, you will need to fully download the file.
  • The Dropbox automatic camera upload feature uploads all photos or videos from the “Camera” folder of your Gallery app. Unfortunately, you cannot choose which folder on your mobile device the camera upload feature uploads from. However, I will make sure to pass this feedback along to the engineers. I'm afraid if you are…
  • This could be down to a few things! Can you see the files on Dropbox.com? If you can then it is your computer that is not syncing. If you can't see the files on Dropbox.com, then you are likely not viewing a shared folder. You can use the steps here to check: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share-with-others
  • @ John, could you try the following? It is another way to repair your permissions: 1) Select your home directory (the folder named after your computer's login) and press Command-I to "Get Info" 2) Scroll down to the "Sharing & Permissions" section at the bottom of the Get Info window 3) If everything is grayed out, click…
  • This often happens with users who may have migrated old data and settings from another Mac to their current computer. Operating system permissions prevent files from being viewed or edited by unauthorized logins. Permissions can be set any number of ways and can be restored manually through a fairly simple process. Please…
  • I'm afraid if you don't know which email address was on the account, there is no way for us to recover the files. I would recommend trying to sign into different email address you have to see if you were signed into a Dropbox account under that address. You can reset your Dropbox password if needed here:…
  • Amy If you don't have access to your backup codes nor have access to your phone I'm afraid there is no way to gain access to your account. The system is setup so that the codes are a backup to you losing your phone. Otherwise you should be able to use your phone to gain entry into your account. As for uninstalling the iOS…
  • Hey Jackie! To sort your issue out you will need to speak with our support team. Can you please go through this workflow (it will ask for information to make sure we have all the information needed to help): https://www.dropbox.com/support
  • Hey Petrache! Do you have access to this account via a mobile device or a linked computer?
