That worked perfectly thank you

Thanks so much

thank you for your response that’s what customer support said. I do think it’s a big flaw in the software. When your device is stolen, you’re in a panic mode, especially overseas, and you’re certainly not thinking about all the apps that you are logged into. I tried to send feedback and I’m not sure I did it correctly.

Thank you. I just don’t ever remember experiencing this behavior before, that it would upload in the background even when the app wasn’t open. I have disabled it to avoid this and can just turn it on when I’m ready to upload. Thank you for your feedback

Thanks for jumping in Nancy. I’m surprised by this, if the dropbox app is not open that it would automatically upload the photos.

iPad IOS 17.4.1 Drops 374.2.2 I’ve just noticed it on this trip. As I said deleted items are uploaded and if I edited a photo, dropbox uploads the original and another copy-1. Thanks for your help.

Here is the sync status. I checked on the web and all of my personal folders say "only you" in the "who can access" column. In the Control Panel, it lists the dropbox app as 170.4.5895. Is that what you are looking for? thanks for your help.

Yes, I have uninstalled it, cleared the cache, restarted and reinstalled it two different times

Again, thanks for your feedback. This issue did not surface until I upgraded to Windows 11. I have confirmed with my employer that I am no longer part of that team. We have only one account. My husband uses the same login credentials as I do. In the root of the dropbox folder there are folders that are shared. However, in…

This is a good improvement. I would still like to see date parameters, not just the canned selections provided. For example 2 date boxes with a start and end choice so you can select a range.

Thanks for your help. This is a personal plan, when I worked I also used their business plan. I have been retired for 2 years. Not sure what’s going on,

I just did a search on how to check sharing. The folder I am working in is not shared
-
we have one dropbox account. I’m not sure how to determine if the files are shared. I have tried this on multiple files in multiple directories and get the same cautionary pop-up. How do I determine if directories are shared?

The problem is fixed. I uninstalled Dropbox from my pc p, under my login and my husband’s login. I then deleted the Dropbox folder located in the user subdirectory on the hard drive. Rebooted and reinstalled. The only issue I have is that the thumbnails for photos stored on Dropbox do not show, only a folder icon. thanks…

Besides my response with screenshots, now I can't access any file. PDF, DOCX or Excel. Same issue

Thanks for your response and your offer to thelp. Here are the right click Dropbox options Here is the error I get when I try to access a photo from Dropbox via Windows Explorer. I have no trouble accessing Word, Excel or PDF files in the same manner. It's just photos. Not only does the thumbnail not display, now it says I…

I tried to right click and the only Dropbox choice is "send with Dropbox transfer". No other options. The photo displays correctly in dropbox.com. And on my iPhone and iPad. The problem is Windows 11 explorer
-
same here, quite scary to get this message
-
I had to completely uninstall and reinstall it twice. After that the symptoms went away. Thanks

Since this solution continued as a private email, can you share? I still have the same problems as mentioned above: sometimes it starts, then it syncs, then it drops out of the systray. I can start it manually but this is all very frustrating. Can you provide some insight?
