This shouldn't necessitate any material movement of folders from their original locations to function correctly. With as long as this update has been in beta, that's a facet of this production that should have been worked out prior to release to the wild. While I won't mention publicly the solution to which I'm migrating,…

I literally left my computer on since the update took place. It's been days. If it takes that long for the app to play nice with Windows, I don't feel confident in the longer term cooperation. Like I said, I'm migrating away from Dropbox. If I cannot have control over where my data lives, it's no longer the solution for…

It would seem to me that, given the painstaking detail I've employed in describing the nature and symptoms of my issue, there really isn't much left to the imagination if someone is saying "I'm having that exact issue."
-
I'm sorry, Megan. I don't have time for this. After all this back-and-forth, you're just now realizing that I got an update? This update has worried me since I saw it in beta, and now that it's been released to production, it's still very woefully not ready for prime time. I have tried everything. Quitting and relaunching.…

OK, now we have a real problem. On my other computer, my Dropbox updated to 228.4.5567, and it's changed every folder's status to either "Available" or "Online Only." There is no option to make anything "Offline." This is unacceptable. You either fix this or I end my subscription and go with a different solution. I'm not…

It turns out that the Dropbox application self-updated in the background and the manual update with the downloaded package was unnecessary. In any event, the problem still persists with the newer version. Dropbox Windows application updated to 228.4.5567 Dropbox folder showing root-level folders showing "Sync Pending"…

@"Rich" OK, it seems that I can copy and paste images in from the Clipboard. I'll take that under advisement going forward. Thanks for the tip.
-
@"Rich" I'm currently a Level 4, if I understand the hierarchy correctly. Any indication as to what level you have to attain in order to be able to do those sorts of coveted things?
-
Hi, @"Walter". Thanks for weighing in. I will download it and apply that update as soon as my local backup finishes. Anytime one of these nail-biters occurs, I back my current iteration of Dropbox up to my local NAS in the event something unforeseen happens. Looks like it has about 3-4 hours to go...but worth it to me.

And for your web devs, this may be of interest...
-
Oh, and just for the sake of completeness, here's the way the "reply editor" box appears on my side, as well ... also without the ability to attach images.
-
This option does not present itself on my side. Please see elsewhere in this thread. I am using Chrome, fully updated.
-
First, allow me to dispense with @"Rich"'s proposed method of attaching photos to the thread. I'm guessing he'll need to do whatever he did in the first place, here, because I still can't attach photos. You'll have to help me with that, since the option doesn't present itself. I made like I was going to start a new thread…

I'm using Windows 10, fully updated. The application update occurred yesterday in the early afternoon when I turned on my computer. As I'm not on the affected computer at the moment, I'll have to get screenshots in a bit. Are there any other screenshots you want? I'd rather not be asked piecemeal if possible. That gets…

When originally posting my inquiry, there was no option to include an image. That was the first thing I looked for. That's why I attempted to go the "link" route.
-
And, anticipating the request to see what hovering over the tray icon looks like:
-
What I meant to say was that the forum wouldn't allow me to submit my post if I included the link to my screen capture as a link using the "Insert Link" option in the editor. That's why I simply included it as plain, naked text. Feel free to copy it into your browser to see the screenshot I intended to reference.
-
Any particular reason why the image/attachment functions aren't working as expected? Two different computers with same experience would lend itself to the explanation being a "your-side" thing as opposed to a "my-side" thing.
-
I'll give that a whirl tomorrow. All I can say is don't expect to be wowed by anything. It's all exactly as I've verbally described.
-
Replying again from a completely different computer. The camera icon isn't there, the "Attachment" link is not working, nor can I drag/drop the screen captures onto the screen here, as it says that the files "aren't allowed" (they're PNGs, that's all). Weird. I guess stuff all over Dropbox isn't working right.
-
I don't remember what my sync status was at the moment. In order to protect the contents of my Dropbox, I uninstalled and backed everything up to my NAS. I don't take chances. I've since re-installed Dropbox 212.4.5767 as downloaded from the Dropbox website (that was the version served to me when I went to download the…

@"Jay" Here you go.

I should mention that there were no hang-ups when it came to installing and setting the microSD card as the Dropbox location on my computer.
