Hi @"Tommytot", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you check to see if you have any files on the backups page? This will help me to assist further! --- Hej @"Tommytot", tak fordi du gjorde os opmærksom på dette. Kan du tjekke, om du har nogen filer på sikkerhedskopieringssiden? Dette vil hjælpe mig med at…

No worries, glad to have helped out. Enjoy the rest of your week!

It seems this is a specific issue related to Chrome itself when signing in, according to the Microsoft site. Could you try their instructions there to see if this helps?
-
Hi @"Henning-And", the extension crdownload is generally a temporary file created by Chrome when you're downloading any file from the internet (not just from Dropbox). Since it was in your folder, it means you were downloading a file into the Dropbox folder directly. Desktop-Geksnis is the name of a device connected to…

Hi @"Curls and Fros", the general site outage was resolved yesterday. Are you still experiencing this, or some other issue? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

As mentioned previously, Finder most likely contains some form of cache of the file thumbnail, which might take a little time to preview. Regardless, as Adobe Bridge is a third party application, if it requests any information on a file, then the Dropbox desktop application would detect this as a request for the file and…

Hi @"susduck", could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
-
Hi @"dechiaroma", could you let us know what plan you're on currently according to this page on your account?
-
Hi @"UBG", just to be certain, could you right click that folder and then Get Info to see the full size on disk?

Hi everyone, our engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a fix to resolve it. We appreciate your patience at this time.
-
Hi everyone, I've sent you each an email to your inboxes, please could you reply to me as soon as possible!
-
There may be a cached version of the thumbnail in Finder itself the last time it was previewed, so it doesn't need to download the file from Dropbox. Adobe Bridge most likely can't access these cached images from Finder.
-
It does seem like you're on a Basic plan for this account. Just to be certain, do you have any other email addresses that you use which could have a Dropbox account associated with it?
-
Have you been able to open password-protected files before recently?
-
In order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
If it's adding a number each time, then it means that something is prevent Dropbox from detecting this as the same drive as before, and is creating a new backup. Is the external drive swapped to other machines often? Is it possible that settings related to the drive are changed when this occurs?
-
Hi @"guri2", thanks for messaging the Community. Are you see any payments or trials on this page? As the plan page is showing Basic, then it means you're not on a trial at this time. Keep me updated with any details or screenshots.

Hi @"Philipp Mikes", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely. Keep me updated with any progress.

Could you attach a screenshot showing the exact window you're on when entering the password?
-
Hi @"EvaTJ", it sounds like it wouldn't be possible to recover the files if they're not visible on the deleted files page. Most likely, at some point, the files were deleted from Dropbox or the machine, and this is why they're not on the site any longer. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
-
Hi @"Hallam", if the other user upgraded directly via the Dropbox site, it's possible to invite them to Family plan so they can immediately join, and they'll be refunded the prorated cost of the remainder of their original plan.
-
Hi @"Samanthaar", just for clarification, are you following these steps to delete the Dropbox account entirely?
-
Hi @"janghell", does this occur on any file, or just this particular file? Could you create a test Word document with a simple password and see if the issue persists?
-
Hi @"emsilver523", do you have enough free space on your mobile device, as the Dropbox mobile app might use the cache to generate, save and upload the scans?
-
Hi @"sherridge", as file thumbnails aren't included in online-only files, any program that requests information on online-only files, such as viewing a thumbnail, will force the file to download to your machine. This would also apply to Adobe Bridge.
-
Glad to have helped out, if you have any further queries, please let us know!
-
Hi @"klang999", if it says error, then it means that there was an issue backing up the drive. Are you certain that it's connected to your computer and that the Dropbox desktop application can detect it to back it up?
-
Hi @"wn_024", what options do you get when you view the share options?
-
Hi @"saerdna", Shift+Win+S is a shortcut reserved for the Snip and Sketch app installed on Windows, so it wouldn't be possible for Dropbox to take control of that shortcut.
