Thanks, @"Angelines"! You've got mail. 🙂

Thanks for the update, @"medicinewomanRD1". If you click on that Dropbox icon and then on the folder icon next to your initials/profile pic, are you taken to the empty Dropbox folder that only has your 2024 resume file? Also, if you search for "Dropbox" in your file explorer, do you get any other results? A second Dropbox…

We haven't come across any similar issues, @"Machaut2024", but not to worry, we will get to the bottom of this. Does the Dropbox application sync your files as normal otherwise? Also, can you please send us a screenshot of the Backups tab in your Dropbox preferences?
-
Hi there, @"gjdarr1954", and thanks for joining the Dropbox Community. If I understand correctly, you've restored access to your email account and now need to access your Dropbox account, right? Or do you already have access to the Dropbox account, but not to your files? If you can clarify that, it would be really helpful.…

Happy to hear that, @"EmilJabo"! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a wonderful day!
-
Hey @"peternelsonsaratoga", thanks for posting to our Community today. I moved your post to a thread with some instructions about what you're trying to achieve. Can you try Nancy's solution, to see if it helps?
-
Hi there, @"medicinewomanRD1", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community and sorry to hear about this. Is the Dropbox application currently installed on the computer? If so, can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray and let me know what that's reporting? Thanks in advance.
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"Angelines". Can we send you an email, to look into this internally?
-
Hi there, @"EmilJabo", thanks for posting your question today! The best way to go about what you'd like to do is to create a "can view" link to that folder and share it with your recipients. There is a feature that would also allow you to disable downloads for the link, along with some other permissions, however, that…

What kind of error are you getting, @"ASHY", can you send us a screenshot so we can take a look?
-
Thanks for the update, @"galtieroussel36"! Just to confirm, if you go to your security page here, do you see that you currently have 3 devices connected to your account or more than 3?
-
Hey @"galtieroussel36", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. Can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar on the affected computer and let me know the sync status and version of the app? Thanks in advance!
-
Welcome to our Community, @"ASHY". Can you give us some more info as to why the link doesn't work? Are you getting some kind of error when you open it? Any additional info will be helpful. Thanks.
-
Thanks for keeping me updated, @"cachaito". One more thing I can think of is that Windows 7 needs the security update KB3033929 for the Dropbox desktop app to work properly; can you check if you have this update?
-
Hey @"bmoney", sorry to jump in here. Did you create this link or did someone else sent it to you? If someone else sent it, have you checked with them, to see if the folder is still in their account or if they have an issue with their shared links?
-
Thanks for the update here, @"Sadsyndrome"! Hmm, does your phone's storage have at least 500 MB of free space, so that the app can work correctly? Also, do you have the same issue on a different WiFi or when connected through mobile data?
-
Hmm, is this a file that's currently in your Dropbox folder? Because it seems like you don't have any Dropbox options whatsoever in your right-click options. Is the app syncing files as normal? Meaning, if you add a file to the Dropbox folder, does it sync to your account on dropbox.com and vice versa?
-
Thanks for the update! Hmm, can you let me know if you can access dropbox.com as normal from your browser?
-
And do you see the same behavior, if the move is done both through the desktop app and the Dropbox website website? Does it affect all file types (.docx, .pdf, .jpg etc.) or specific ones?
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"Radstone". I moved your post to this thread with info relevant to your issue, can you check it out and let me know if you find any info that helps?
-
Hey @"Sadsyndrome", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Have you tried to clear the app's cache, to see if that helps? Keep me posted.
-
Hi there, @"ale0805", thanks for letting us know about this. Can you give us some more info about the update you mentioned? A couple screenshots showing the issue, would also be really helpful. Also, if you hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar, what's the sync status and version of the app? Let me know…
-
Thanks for letting us know, @"cachaito". Is it possible that the setting you changed yesterday, automatically switched back to what it was before, after the computer was turned off?
-
Hey @"dvorakoa", thanks for joining the Dropbox Community! This is actually expected, as these files are in what we call an "online-only" state. This is a feature created to turn files into placeholders, with no physical space on the drive, to basically free up space on your drive. If you want to open them, you can…
-
Hi again, @"hmd1957"! There are quite a few reasons why conflicted copies might be created, like an antivirus, backup software or third party applications that monitor files, off-line editing or connection issues, etc. The correct pattern needs to be: * Let files sync * Start application * Save files * Quit application *…
-
Hey @"hmd1957", thanks for your post today! When you open an online-only file to view it, it's expected for the file to become available offline. An online-only file is a mere placeholder file, so it needs to be synced, to be opened. I hope this clarifies things, but if you have any questions, let me know.
-
Hey @"Pghtom", thanks for joining the Dropbox Community. Was this folder a shared folder or just a normal non-shared folder in your account? Do you see any events related to it in your events page?
-
Hey @"Anto_58", thanks for reaching out to us today. Can you please check the sync status and version of the Dropbox, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar?
-
Hey @"katebauer", thanks for joining our Community! That's really strange, indeed, but let's see what we can find. How are you uploading the files to Dropbox? And what do you see about this in your events page? Keep me posted.

Hi there, @"nictansl", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community! Can you let us know the exact error you're getting when trying to create a new account under that address? A screenshot would be most helpful. Also, does the website allow you to login to Dropbox using that email address? Let me know and we'll go from…
