Thanks very much for getting back to me, but I've solved my problem. I finally figured out that when I click the icon, then in the box I need to click on the name of the drive, and THEN I get the window that has the button for seeing the backed up files.

The drive shows up there. Thanks. But there it shows that the backup is Done. Whereas the counter now says it's 72% done. Why the discrepancy?

Thank you, Mark! And my upload speed earlier was between 1.7 and 3.5, depending on whose speed dial I used. Now it's around 11. But I'm going to have to bite the bullet and trash a LOT of photos. A good part of what I amassed in forty years as a professional photographer is still on the drive, and most of it can be trashed…
