This idea would open Dropbox up to a vastly larger customer base. I'd love to see it happen!!

I stopped getting email notices from Dropbox when this thread is updated, so missed some posts recently. Not a good sign that Razvan has left, I'm not sure if there is anyone still running the shop at Boxifier. About a month ago I got an email reply from Christine at Boxifier saying they are working on a fix, but that…

Thanks for this info, Neal. I’m hopeful this means Boxifier will be able to fix the issue the change has caused. What would be awesome is if Dropbox allowed users to install the Dropbox folder to a mapped network drive rather than limiting to only the local drive. That would solve a lot of issues. Any chance of that?

Hi Kyres, Thanks for voting for the idea I submitted, and for creating yours! I've voted for yours as well. Cheers, Dave

Hi Kyers, You've made some great points in your post, and I agree it would be fantastic for Dropbox to incorporate functionality to allow syncing with mapped external drives/NAS. That is so common now that it's become mandatory functionality, and cloud solutions that provide that capability natively are going to win a…

Hi Neal, Thank you for your response, and I (along with all Boxifier customers with this issue) genuinely appreciate that Dropbox is attempting to help pursue a fix with Boxifier. I reached out to their support team when this issue first arose and initially got a response from Christine (Team@Boxifier.com) on March 6th…

Hi Neal, As a 30+ year veteran in the application development industry delivering integrated solutions, I can absolutely understand the level of difficulty in coordinating releases with third-party partners. But, Dropbox should understand that customer experience with those integration partners also reflects on the…

It's interesting that you have two versions of each updater service, I only have one of each. Hopefully Boxifier will distribute an updated version soon, their support team answered an email I sent them saying they are working on it. But I've asked for an ETA a couple times and didn't get a response. I guess theoretically…

So far it's held up for me since Saturday morning. I reached out to Boxifier again today to see when we can expect the fix, but they haven't responded as yet. If they do I'll post an update.

Thanks for the info. For me that would mean I'd need to move off of the MyCloudHome that I'm using, so I'll probably just stick with Boxifier/Dropbox as long as Boxifier fixes their compatibility issue with new versions of Dropbox.

Hi - I'm curious about how FreeFileSync went if you tried. I used to use MKLink in windows to push content from a drive mapped to MyCloudHome to MS OneDrive, but discovered that MS Sync starts failing sporadically once you cross a couple hundred gigs of data that you're trying to sync. So after a bunch of research on…

Hi - I think I found the two services you mentioned under Service Management in Windows Computer Manager. I've disabled them and went back to the 242.4.5815 version of Dropbox, and Boxifier seems to be working again. Will hold my breath... BTW - I got an email back from Christine at Boxifier, she said they are aware of the…

My dropbox updated to the new version again while syncing overnight, and Boxifier stopped working again. Which services did you disable and how?

Hope it works out, I've gotten all tangled up in the resync process, and ended up having to delete a TB of data from the dropbox cloud then starting over from scratch. So I'm probably looking at 4 days of uploading through Boxifier, assuming the new updates for dropbox are re-pushed and I end up back to square one. But…

I reached out to Dropbox support, and they were very helpful. They provided a link to download and install an older version of Dropbox that does still work with Boxifier. Uninstall dropbox and install the one from this link, it worked for me. Stable Build 242.4.5815 | The Dropbox Community
