Sorry, I can't think of anything for you. If you want to go ahead and get support from Dropbox itself, go to https://www.dropbox.com/support?ref=dropboxsupport It will take some time for a response, but at least you can get it resolved. Meanwhile, others experts might chime in here to help, I hope so as I can't think of…

You are correct. I had reread it earlier and saw that. I am reading the Help Center. What about this article, do you think anything applies to you? https://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/mac-permissions https://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/mac-osx-sierra-compatibility I am just trying to help.
-
Okay, I edited my post and added an info that I found that may work
-
Hello, nicknick What version of Dropbox Client are you using? Try this one here https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Desktop-client-builds/Beta-Build-38-3-23/m-p/249102#M4403 if that doesn't work, then try the advice here. Very bizarre graphical glitch with such an easy fix. It seems it was just an odd coincidence that it was…

Dropbox is just a syncing tool and yes, it has features that use Excel but as far as features that Excel uses, it's not Dropbox issue. I am not familiar with using Excel Online but once a file has changed, even adding a period, it will sync those changes to all linked devices.
-
Okay, I see what is the issue. You are not uploading from your computer to Dropbox. Do your files reside only on Dropbox Servers? you need to use the move option. Go to the file and you will notice 3 dots at the far right-hand side, click on them and a menu will show and select move, then follow the prompt and select the…
-
Hello, thanks for reaching out to us, first off, it sounds like you are using the web interface (Browser) to move, upload files, Browser is not really designed to accept pasting of files since it's not a file manager. Have you tried to drag and drop? you can drag the file or files and drop it on the web page for it to…
-
Thanks for sharing that info. Who knows, others that use that downloader, might experience the same thing, so thanks for sharing what you have found... Hopefully, you would find a solution to use your favorite app.
-
Carlene W. First one is simple, if you don't put sensitive items in your Dropbox folder, it would not be anywhere in the cloud Second is not so simple, simply because Dropbox is a syncing tool. So if you delete something in Dropbox, it's going to sync to any devices linked to your account including your Laptop. Third is…

Danas Sorry that you are having issues, how are you downloading your files. Usually, you can click on Download but it sounds like you are clicking on a link. Please clarify for me and we will see if we can get to a solution It sounds like the download is not fully done and it is stuck at last part of the download. Have…

You are very welcome, that is why we are here for. Hope you get what you need.

Leslie Here is the hard truth, based on the screenshots that you gave, and thanks a bunch for those, the invitation is not from a regular Dropbox account. It could be that the other person has accepted a trial run of Dropbox for business or even a free Team account, but no matter, its another set of rules. I will list a…
-
Okay Leslie so basically, the other (the one who invited you) either have a free team Dropbox account or actually has a Dropbox for Business account. Since they just need to share a folder, I would suggest that you select to keep your accounts separately. The other option is to transfer but that will have different rules…
-
I haven't heard of APAA account but it doesn't mean there isn't one, this seems related to having a Business account which is what the other has. I am not familiar with these rules yet but I am reaching out to my fellow Super Users and even uploaded your screenshot so I can get an answer for you. Please be patient with me.…
-
Leslie it must be frustrating and I am sorry you are experiencing this. I haven't heard of this problem so bear with me as I try to be of assistance. how did you receive notice of this invitation? Also as of late, you should get a notification of an invite thru the website. If you go to…
-
Leslie is it possible that the sender invited you to the shared folder, using an email address that is not associated with your email address that you are using for your registered Dropbox account? if so, then ask the sender to invite using the correct one. Hopes this helps
-
Thanks for sharing what works for you. I am happy that it figured out. This will be valuable as others might have the same issue as you I guess the correct wording should be quick access instead of favorites. BTW its a Mac phase. You can still do those task in Win 10 as I just tried several on my machine. But no matter…
-
William I don't have a lot of experience in Win 10, although I have my Home box a Win 10. But sometimes, adding an existing favorite will reinitialize the favorite listed. So, go to your Dropbox folder (on D:) and make a favorite, put it close to the other one. See if it replaces it. or maybe it wouldn't but according to…
-
Thanks for responding, William, just to clarify things, did you move the folder, or did you let the Client move it? if you did, then that's the problem, the client needs to do the moving since it has to do other things, not just move but add contextual menus. If you did use the client, then what version are you using?…
-
William you can go into Preferences by clicking on your Dropbox icon in your system tray. Click on it and click on the gear icon then select Preferences, then Go to the Account tab, then select the move button. Then a dialog pops asking for the new location. Hopes this helps

@"Carlene W." First off, your files are still on your computer but its uploading. FYI, Dropbox Client watches your Dropbox folder for any changes/files and syncs them to any shared folders or devices. So any files put inside your Dropbox folder will be uploaded. Now, also, FYI, when you reboot your computer, it (Dropbox…

The way I see it, it was just a misunderstanding between what Dropbox team sees and us users sees. I see where you are coming from. Frankly, there are other 3rd party apps that can sync contacts and some are able to link to their Dropbox account. That is because developers of these apps use the Dropbox API to make it…
-
Dropbox purpose of that option is different from what you are seeking. period. As I said, not within Dropbox has that ability. There are quite a few third-party apps that does what you are seeking.
-
I'm am sorry Ian D. so sorry
-
well, I defer, you simply do not get it. You said so yourself. If you do not believe me, fine but you can submit a Support Ticket at https://www.dropbox.com/support It will take up to 3 Business Days or more if you are a basic user. You can follow up with Ticket via Zendesk at https://dropbox.zendesk.com
-
I understand what you are trying to accomplish but within Dropbox app on phone, I find it not going to happen because on phone app is different than a Desktop app (Client). On Mobile app, it list all the files but the files are NOT Downloaded to your phone. This is because it does not want to consume all your data and…
-
Pardon me, I am sorry if I am misunderstanding you. But when you type an name in a field, it should automatically try to fill it with possible contacts. This info has to come from somewhere. I don't find any settings in Dropbox app to this, however on web interface at https://www.dropbox.com/account you can remove all…
-
I believe that option is just to authorize the app to sync contacts already on that particular phone. It needs that permission to access it. Dropbox doesn't sync that contact list anywhere. Although on Android, on settings, one can sync Google to all devices, thus its can sync then but not thru Dropbox
