Have you done anything that was suggested here? see https://www.dropbox.com/help/296 https://www.dropbox.com/help/400
-
Do what it suggested to do. Install the Desktop client and link to that account and try again
-
Carol P try rebooting browser. are you using the web interface?
-
Offtopic Rich R. how do you move thread to another? I am also a Mod, but as far as I can see, i do not have that option
-
if you use a url shortener service like bitly, then it will record any action taken on that link
-
Jeremy where does it say "he doesn't want the Dropbox Application stored on the C drive... he is asking to install the Folder. I used the word move because I cannot foresee if he already has one on C. Thus move is the word I used
-
If the other drive is an external drive, then its not supported to use it. If the other drive is an internal, then use Dropbox Client to do the moving https://help.dropbox.com/desktop-web/move-dropbox-folder
-
Marie K. Have you done any of the recommendations in this thread? basically since Dropbox folder is just like any other folder on your PC, just do a copy and paste or even drag the files to your flash drive
-
Janet M So what you are saying you are having permissions problems copying files to a flash drive or USB stick, correct? at least thats what the poster issue is. If so, have you tried copying the folders to your desktop then move them to Flash drive?
-
Judy S Since Dropbox Folder is just like any folder on your machine, you can move those files to flash drive just like you normally do. Copy and paste
-
hmmnm, have you tried rebooting PC and do the transfer first thing? only one other thing that might work is to fix permissions. See https://help.dropbox.com/sync/files-not-syncing pay attention to the section Advanced Users

try copying to the desktop first then transfer from Desktop to flash drive. It seems to be a permission issue
