Hello Valhalla I afraid, that is not possible as you have equal rights to the folder. So Dropbox will sync any changes to the owner. However, if you want to 'leave' the folder, you can and when you do, it will not delete the folder or the contents of the folder. This may not be what you want but its an option…

Thanks for updating us. Glad it works out for you. Have a good one.

Hello Michalisha Thanks for reaching out to us. See this Help Center Article https://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/move-dropbox-folder

Can you elaborate what you mean by private folder? is this your Dropbox folder? if so, this shouldn't be happening unless you per chance shared that particular folder. Were these folders that were selected by selective Sync shared?
-
Okay, I will try. In using Selective Sync, (as an example) you selected Folder B and Folder D. Once you selected those folders in the Selective Sync Settings, Those folders will disappear off your Dropbox folder. It will be in the cloud only. Let's say you had the same files that were in Folder B and D somewhere backed…
-
Hello kelos.. thanks for reaching out to us. It seems to me you are having these conflicts mainly because you first selected certain folders/files to be selective synced. Another word folder is taken off your hard drive. Meanwhile you placed another set of same files back into main Dropbox folder, causing Desktop Client to…

Are you a member of a Business Team? Are you sharing any folders? How much quota are you allowed in your Dropbox Account? https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan

Hellow wagneragency Thanks for reaching out to us. If the files are online-only, it will still need to have a placeholder, to signify there is something online. So if you added something at work and you made them online-only then it will not change the setting on the home computer if its different than work. To change the…

Hello clegs Thanks for sharing your experience. I wanted to clarify a few things. when you dragged the folders/files into your Dropbox folder, it does not necessarily mean that's it is online or on Dropbox Server, we hope that it is because it's supposed to be uploaded automatically. I just wanted to clarify when your PC…

Hello Perfect You should be able to,

Hello @"paigewilliamson" Thanks for reaching out to us. First off, are you sure it is talking about HardDrive space instead of Dropbox account? if so, Dropbox still needs to place a placeholder for you to view your files. Can you check to see how much space it says your Dropbox folder is? If on PC, right click on Dropbox…

Have you tried re-installing Microsoft Ecel?
-
Hello slstewart249 There isn't a way for Dropbox to do this but as I understand it there is an auto-save feature in Microsoft Excel. I believe most versions have this. Take a look at this…

Hello, @"SandersKev" You can submit a Support Ticket here: https://www.dropbox.com/support Good Luck
-
if you have a smartphone, you can download the apps and do the same. You can select files and select export and then it will ask you where and then select Google Drive
-
Yikes, so sorry you are having this issue. I would suggest opening up a Support Ticket on this https://www.dropbox.com/support I will try to escalate this. Sorry I don't have a clue

Have you updated your OS recently? Did you update to High Sierra OS (Mac)? and what version of Desktop client are you using? You can see the version number when you place your cursor slowly over the Dropbox icon in menu bar. Are you using the latest MacOS release, 10.13.1, (this is a known version to work with High Sierra…

Thanks for the update. I was thinking earlier about some experiences that I have. It might be possible that you have permissions issues. Check this article out: https://www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/stuck-syncing https://www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/files-update-issues Mac * Quit Dropbox by clicking on…

Maybe it's indexing instead of syncing ?? I wouldn't quit then back up again as it seems to be needing to do this again. Is this the first time syncing these files? if so, I feel for you. You will have to let it do its job. It will get faster as the smaller files are taking time to sync. We all users find that the initial…
-
That's pretty good speed. In Preferences when you click on your Dropbox icon in system tray and click on the gear icon, under the Bandwidth tab, you can make sure there is no limit.
-
its sounds like you may have internet issues. Here is a Help Center Article that you might find informative: https://www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/sync-speed-external-factors

Sorry, there is no such feature. Dropbox Client determines the order for uploading
-
@"SJFarrell" Thanks for reporting here, can you submit a Support Ticket? There seems to be something the Dropbox team needs to see here. Submit a ticket https://www.dropbox.com/support Check or update Ticket via https://www.dropbox.com/support?ref=dropboxsupport Please be patient and it will take some time and please…

Thanks 310EI you are correct as usual. I didn't think this thru.. :=(

Getting anywhere on this, bauss? I had a colleague tell me that if there is a hashtag in the script, try leaving it out and see if that it will sync. He says a hashtag shouldn't be a problem but he wanted me to check with you
-
You can have set folder permissions. https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/folder-view-only-permissions also look at https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/view-only-access I would suggest using folders and set a password to it. I just tested and there is a download button if you don't set a password. So I suggest…
-
Thanks buass Okay, I reached out to my other Super Users and some Dropboxers, maybe they have an idea but I would encourage you to go ahead and submit a Support Ticket and meanwhile, perhaps others might chime in here. Submit a ticket https://www.dropbox.com/support Check or update Ticket…

Bauss Can you answer the 2 questions that I posted? I want to help you. :)
-
Hello @"bauss" My first reaction is that perhaps an application is still running and it places an 'lock' on the file in question. Is this possible? what happens when you reboot the computer?
-
Thanks and I had to fix that link as it directed incorrectly to an older support page. Make sure you click it recently as it now has email support.
