Hi Sean, If you're usually wanting to share View only links, one other thing you can do is change your default sharing settings to default "What people can do" to "Can view". https://help.dropbox.com/share/set-file-folder-permissions#How-to-manage-your-default-sharing-settings I'm glad you have found a clever workaround…

Hi Sean, Thanks for the screenshot. We are working on a fix. In the meantime, are you able to use Share > Copy Link as an alternative flow to copy links?

@"Reny1105" Could you double check that the link you are sharing is a link for viewing? Shared links where people with the link can view the folder can have downloads disabled, but shared links to folders with can edit permissions cannot restrict downloads.

This sounds like attempting to share with a user on a team where the team admin has disabled "Adding outside folders" setting. https://help.dropbox.com/share/manage-team-sharing#Folders-shared-with-the-team If that's the case, some workarounds are to share the folder with view permissions or create a shared link.

Hi @"moroneypatrick" , Can you ask the client to send you a new link by following the directions here? From the image you provided, it looks as if the link you were given was specific to the client which is why it didn't work for you.
