I didn't delete the missing files. I deleted a few files now to check if the storage would go down so that other files which were no longer reflecting would come back? So, basically, I do not have any files in the folders that went over the storage. We're back to square one in terms of solving the issue.

So, trying to permanently delete files then gives this message that it won't free up space. This is really concerning and frustrating. I have lost legal documentation, family pictures which I cannot get back from deceased family pics…..

I also found in Photos - pretty much what looks like Apple Music's album thumbnails?? I dont recognise so many of the artists.

I closed my account/subscription and downloaded my files across to Google and my external. But then when I opened them in a few days - they werem't there. My total storage was way over the free plan - but I had 30 days to copy them acr4oss which I did. But for some reason they have disappeared, and backup is largely empty…

Yes, only empty folders. There is one folder with the 7. something GB. Which I cannot preview to see what I could delelte or not. I also copied the bulk of the files over to my hard drive - but i have nothing now. This is the message I get if I try to open the folder with the 7.soemthing GB.

I have the folders - but there dont seem to be any files in them. And I can't find them to get the storage down.
