Is it possible that your app is connected to a different Dropbox account, than the one you used when editing the content? You can check the app's preferences, then under Account, in order to see the email address linked to it. If I were you,…

Hi @"OceanElf", happy Monday! When you initially posted here, in the Community, was the app stuck syncing this exact number of files? Hi @"taoctiger", let's jump right into this! in order to get your Documents, Desktop and Downloads folder back to their original paths, you'd need to disable Backup first. You can do this, using these steps. Have you tried that? Keep me posted!

Hi @"Peter H.87", if you uninstall the app, then re-install it that wouldn't sync your content from scratch. It'll just re-instate the state of your app. Any changes in your files would simply re-index. Give it a go, and let me know of the results, thanks!
-
Hi @"RebeccaLee", did you perform a quick re-install (re-installing the app, using this link) or did you uninstall, then re-install it from scratch?

Hi @"VikingPadre", does this behavior happen with all the files in your Dropbox folder, using a cloud icon? Also, I would like for you to locate your Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi and hover your mouse there. That should give you the version of the app, could you pass it on to me?
-
Hi @"SubbaV", let's jump right into this! Is it possible you have a backup enabled and visible on this page on your account? Could you also check your account's plan page, and let me know what it reports there? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Megy86", thanks for posting here today! In regards to this email that you received, are you certain that it's coming from non-reply@dropbox.com? Hi @"Barbara 2022", welcome to our Community! In order to change the owner on your shared folders/files you'd need the current owner, to follow the steps mentioned here. That way, you can take ownership of the content that you need. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @"treborrobert", thanks for bringing this to our attention. In general, the Dropbox desktop application does require admin privileges to be installed on a machine, and this would also include any new updates for the app itself for it to function properly. Is it possible that you're using the app without admin rights in…

Hi @"Greensandz", how are you today? That should be the path of your user Dropbox content, in your Finder provided you're using Dropbox for macOS. You can always locate your Dropbox icon on your menu bar, next to your WiFi and click the icon. That should give you a pop-up window, with a little Dropbox folder on the top of…
