Yes. Simply put Dropbox is not a content delivery network and should not be relied upon at all. For example as a free user its limited to 20/gb per rolling 24 hours and 100,000 downloads. It is more for paid users which you can see here. However, if you hit those limits the links will fail and you cannot get around this.…

That means you have set up two accounts. Log out of the free one and in to the one you are paying for: https://help.dropbox.com/billing/find-credit-card-charge Dropbox cannot charge you for something unless you gave them the card info to do so.

How did you access and open it? Where was it from? Talk us through it from start to finish.en I have an Excel file that I worked on for hours and it's just gone. Comentario por Mark July 2024

Unfortunately the data is deleted immediately - as you are told when its deleted and you have to confirm via entering password etc. again. They have to then follow that and do what it says and has been requested otherwise there could be legal implications for them. They cannot keep and store data that a user has explicitly…

This page should help 🙂 https://help.dropbox.com/billing/find-credit-card-charge

Does Events show up the addition of the files?
-
If you go to www.dropbox.com/account/plan does it show you as being in the Family Plan? Can she reinvite you to the share?
-
That is the menu option which appears on your computer if you have Dropbox installed and running - as that is the only way of doing backup (as it works on the software on your machine)

Dropbox is very, very clear on setting up the account that you are setting up a subscription service - which is a monthly charge. It states that multiple times across the page/site and very clearly at https://www.dropbox.com/plans. @"Julie39" wrote:And I am unable to actually speak with someone or delete my card details…

Hi @"Trader1" I'm afraid there is no system on Dropbox which tracks this. Sorry
-
If you did not give Dropbox your card details then YOU need to speak to your card company and report fraud - somebody has taken your details and possibly ID and is using them. If, however, you did you need to log on to the correct account as if it says Basic this one is not it.…

If you mouse over the Dropbox icon that also should tell you. You can manually update by just running the downloader: www.dropbox.com/downloading - it wont delete/impact settings etc.
-
A reinstall of Dropbox over the top should just resync everything - www.dropbox.com/downloading
-
So yes, Dropbox will delete things if you are over quota as per its T&C's: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/over-quota Can you do a search for file names on your computer to see if they are there?
-
Was it in the Metadata of the photo? Only that is uploaded. Does it appear again if downloaded back to phone?
-
As awful as the issue is calling other people cannot help. Dropbox has NO incoming phone support at all. So any numbers you do call are not Dropbox. Phoning other departments means they have to do the same - log a ticket. Unfortunately, as with any service, the support you get is based upon the plan you are on (i.e. paid…

What is www.dropbox.com/events showing? Note if your account is full it wont sync. So any files you added OVER quota wont sync. Your files should be available if you click on the Dropbox icon and then the folder icon.
-
So, if Events is empty then you were not using the account you are using now OR Dropbox was not running and syncing. That means EITHER you were using a different account and log on - even by accident or Dropbox was not running or if it was running had an error (over quota etc.)
-
My main guess is because there is a cost, albeit small, to send texts. The volume that Dropbox would therefore be issuing these in would mean that cost would be huge.

What is www.dropbox.com/events showing?

I suspect it will become mandatory because the change is being forced on us by Apple - it is doing the same with all cloud storage solutions and moving them in to a new folder structure. The change is caused by that not a Dropbox 'choice' as it were. In terms of if you need to do all devices, no, you dont. You could do 1…

Unfortunately not @"mafamamrouk" , no.
-
There isnt an official tool I'm aware of so the only thing I can think of is to download everything and reupload.
-
You've not actually said why it isnt working -whats the error messages etc.? For the ones from the third party website are they appearing online at www.dropbox.com/home ? If not THATS the issue not the software.
-
This isnt something Dropbox, or even Google, have decided to do - it is one forced upon them by the OS developers. This wont change unless it changes at OS level (i.e. Apple) Putting both together has always been a recipe for disaster and one not to do - you are very, very lucky not to have had huge data losses due to it.
