This isnt how Dropbox works - Dropbox isnt a journaling system, its a cloud syncing tool. It syncs your own files on your on machine.

It already has been 🙂 If you go to https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Security-and-Permissions/RE-Requesting-for-all-my-Personal-Data-2024/m-p/749860#M13727 you can add information to what you were asking before. People here will help you 🙂

Dropbox does not do outgoing phone support. They only do incoming phone support to paid business customers who request it via secure PIN numbers. Posting a phone number on a public website is a sure fire way of being scammed - ANYBODY could call you and pretend to be Dropbox. Please never ever post that or your email etc.…

Dropbox cannot charge you unless you gave them you card information. Therefore if you DID give them your card information you needed to have made sure that you cancelled within the timescales. Refunds are only issued where legally required: https://help.dropbox.com/plans/refund If you did NOT give Dropbox your info you…

@"eakkus" wrote:If more users demand this, I might have better chance seeing this feature in close feature, perhaps. And thats exactly my point - at the moment its not something I've ever seen. Hi @"jblankenship" That isnt how Dropbox works - if they move you to a business account it doesnt 'delete' anything, it creates an account with either the work email OR a folder in the account with all the data. If there is nothing in Events or Deleted then the account you are using now has no data in it and is not…en Lost data after my company changed my account to my company email Comentario por Mark August 2024

That means you are logging in using an account which you arent paying for - i.e. you have multiple accounts. You can also confirm this via www.dropbox.com/account/plan. You can either try and work out which ones you are paying for and log in to those (consider using the credit card look up…

No I get why people do it - no need to be rude and patronising about it. I'm also not an employee - I'm justs somebody who has been around here since Dropbox was in beta. However, what I'm saying was more a heads up of dont be offended if the thread is just closed or ignored. Dropbox dont release plans. They almost…

Without access to the email it is unlikely you'll be able to do so I'm afraid - unless you have a device already logged in. You need to go to www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in - even to here and ask for help. Try using an incognito window to make it easier. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access

All support is at www.dropbox.com/support - but you need to make sure you are doing it via one of the accounts logged in that is paid.

So, Dropbox cannot alter files - if they are appearing corrupt they were uploaded corrupt. One thing to check is that they are local versions and not online-only files, which can cause issues. To test that do they work if you open via the website or not? Also think of things like updates that have happened to Excel could…

Does www.dropbox.com/account/plan show a reduction in quota? Or, is it being used elsewhere such as www.dropbox.com/backups ?
-
What is www.dropbox.com/events showing? Referral space is only removed if there is reason to do so - i.e. abuse etc.

Have you tried restoring to yesterday's versions? https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/recover-older-versions What about opening Excels from another Dropbox account or that is say emailed in to a person instead?

@"eakkus" wrote:Hey @"BenDBX" & @"Jay" Is there any changes / developments regarding the issue? Hi @"JennyDy" Yes that is right. You can rename and even move shared folders around your account at will without impacting other people. The only thing to make sure you DONT do is put them inside of each other. So I have all of my shares in a (very originally named!) folder called 'Shares' where I name them something…

@"shahaf" wrote:I Do know that my dropbox is full, is that related? Almost certainly, yes. If Dropbox is full it wont sync updates/changes or new files added to the directory. So, those files with an X on it will be ones you've added to your machine BUT have not been uploaded to Dropbox because there is no space. Same for…

Hi @"TC55" You need to ask that the company remove you note they must not delete you. Then you will be removed and downgraded back to a free account at which point you can re-upgrade. The only people who can do that though are the business themselves.

Unfortunately you can only have one or the other - iCloud or Dropbox on a folder. So, if you want Dropbox to do it you need to download them all locally first and disable iCloud.

It is very unlikley you will be able to access the account without access to either a device (mobile possibly?) with Dropbox installed already OR the email. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access You will need to log a ticket with Dropbox while not logged in - even to here so try an incognito browser and…

@"Cain57" wrote:Any way to make the link setting behave like the email setting? I'd like to know who opened our links. Simply put, no. Because Dropbox doesnt know who has the link - you could have given it to 1 person or 1,000.

Sorry to hear of your loss @"MotherOfTheGroom" How long ago did she pass? The reason I ask is that whole accounts are wiped after 12 months of inactivity meaning if nobody was logging on in that time the data would be wiped which is irreversible.

No issues as such - and dont seem to have seen any reported on here. Out of interest are all your files/folders on internal drives and within the \Dropbox folder? i.e. no symlinks or junctions being used?
