Hey @"tigerdg", I'm happy to see that we were able to isolate the issue. The thing is that you should be able to get most out of dropbox.com using most modern browsers, however, dropbox.com works best on the two most recent versions of: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. Would it be possible to use one of these…

Hey @"ClaudioCreativo", with Dropbox backup you can indeed only backup folders in the hard drive Dropbox is installed on. I will, however, pass your feedback to our team about this and if you have any other questions, let us know.

How about links with previews from other sites apart from Dropbox, @"aammash"?
-
Hey @"john-hartmann", thanks for the update. Is your syncing currently "up to date"? If so, I'd suggest trying a more advanced reinstall of the app, to see if that helps.
-
Thanks for keeping us updated on this, Bruce. Hopefully, that'll do the trick, but if the issue comes back, don't hesitate to let us know. Have a great week ahead!
-
Hey @"elliotwoods", thanks for reaching out to us. This is an ongoing issue that our team is looking into. I merged your post to this thread about it, so you can get an update, when we have one.
-
Hey @"cyrusvill", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community and happy Monday! Thanks for the very descriptive post as well, and let's see how we can go about this. What you'll need to do now, is after reinstalling the Dropbox app, instead of choosing "Dropbox (Old)" as the location for the Dropbox folder, you'll…

Hey @"brad94", are you only missing the "make online-only"/"make available offline" right-click options, or all Dropbox right-click options?en InDesign will freeze if we try to open files that are online-only Comentario por Hannah June 2024

Hey @"ffiruben", did you get a chance to check out Walter's reply above?
-
Hey @"aliwihbi", thanks for the additional info. In the second screenshot, no right-click options appear on your Dropbox files at all, which indicates that the app is running correctly. Can you try simply reinstalling the Dropbox app (without uninstalling it), to see if that helps?en InDesign will freeze if we try to open files that are online-only Comentario por Hannah June 2024

No worries, Don, I'm glad you were able to figure it out in the end! Your feedback is valuable and I'll make sure to pass your comments along to our team. If you ever need anything else, just give us a shout. Have a great weekend and thanks for using Dropbox!

Thanks for that, @"Bdavi". So, if they click on the Dropbox icon I mentioned, do they see a gear icon at the top right? And if they click on the gear icon, do they see a "preferences" option? If they do, ask them to uncheck the "Start Dropbox on system startup" setting in the "general" tab of the preferences and let me…

Hey @"AL ARABY", unfortunately, we can't access your computer remotely or access the video that you attached there. Would it be possible to send us a series of screenshots showing the issue, instead?en InDesign will freeze if we try to open files that are online-only Comentario por Hannah June 2024

Hey @"Fmabs", thanks for the additional info. I would definitely advise you not to provide any credentials, just in case it is a spam email. If you know the sender, I would suggest reaching out to them directly, to ask for more info, without clicking anything further.
-
Hey @"kalbrandon", thanks for letting us know about this. Are you missing all Dropbox right-click options or just the ones about sharing files? A screenshot of what you see, would be really helpful, if you could send us one.
-
Hey @"aammash", do you see the same behavior with other apps/platforms, apart from Dropbox?
-
Thanks for the update, @"BruceFH". Can you try closing and relaunching the app once more, to see if that helps? How long have you been having this issue?
-
Hey @"anice", thanks for your feedback here and I'm sorry that you feel that way, but let's see what we can find out. Is it possible that you enabled our backup feature, which might have filled up your Dropbox space? Do you see any backed up files here?
-
Hi there, @"DamianYap", and thanks for bringing this to our attention. Would you mind giving us some more details about what you mean when you say that the app disconnects? Are you getting some kind of error message or does the app just crash? Also, are you having this issue with multiple computers, all connected to the…

Hey @"AL ARABY", thanks for reaching out to us. Were you previously able to open online-only (cloud icon) files without making them available offline first? If you now manually make all the files available offline first, before you open them through InDesign, does it help? Keep me posted.en InDesign will freeze if we try to open files that are online-only Comentario por Hannah June 2024

Hmm, you previously had the beta version installed (v203.3.4712). Which version do you see now after reinstalling?
-
Sounds good, Clive, and thanks for the update! If any issues come up, let us know.
-
Thanks, @"JCGLF ". I see that you're on the beta version of the Dropbox app as well, so I'd also suggest switching to the stable version and see if that makes any difference. To do so, turn off the "early releases" option here and then reinstall the Dropbox app.
-
I see, thanks for the additional info. Have you tried to do this from a different web browser or a private browsing/incognito window, to see if that makes any difference?
-
Hey @" Clive Beardmore", uninstalling and reinstalling both Dropbox and the Office app you're using is a pretty useful troubleshooting step, so I would suggest trying and then let us know what you find.
-
Hey @"Water-Air", I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. If you go to the setting shown in the screenshot on this solution, do you see that you have selected a default app preference for image files? And if so, are you able to remove it, like the solution mentions, so that the images open as a Dropbox preview?
-
Sorry to hear that, @"jcglf". Can you try these steps here and let us know if they help?
-
Hey @"mtuckervisualedgeit", thanks for letting us know about this. These temporary files only exist in the program folder, right, not in your Dropbox folder as well? Also, which version of the app are you using? You can see that along with the sync status of the app, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.…
-
So, it's a website not an app, right? Did you manually connect your Dropbox to this website? Can you disconnect and reconnect them, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"fcarp", thanks for your feedback here. Since you're not eligible for the update at this time, there's not much that we can do. When you'll become eligible, you’ll receive a notification on the Dropbox icon in your menu bar that an update to Dropbox for macOS leveraging the File Provider API is available. If you’re…
