Hey @"SPoirier", I'm afraid that Rich is right. Only an already existing admin on a Dropbox team can change the admin permissions for another team member and make them admin. If you can gain access to the current admin's Dropbox account and make the change, then you should be able to do it on your end, we can't do it from…

Hey @"aboissonneault", I see that some of the files you mentioned are over the size limit. Can you check the article that Nancy hyperlinked above, to see if the rest of them fulfill the requirements for the feature to work correctly?
-
Thanks for the screenshots, @"msacks". Do you see the same on different browsers or in private browsing as well?
-
Thanks for your comments and feedback, @"RM009", I'll make sure to pass it along to the team. Unlinking a computer from your account won't delete any files from your local Dropbox folder; the files will need to be manually deleted. There is a remote wipe feature that will allow you to unlink a computer and delete your…

Happy to help, @"GG325"! Give us a shout, if you need anything else.

I'm happy to see that this worked for you, Mike! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great day!

It might say "credit card", but the tool should work for both credit cards and debit cards, so before I send you an email, can you check, to see if it works with the card info that you have?

Thanks, Kevin. The upload link doesn't look like anything suspicious, nor does the email itself, to be honest; it seems to be a legit Dropbox email. But do you know the person in the email? If not, you can either forward the email itself to abuse@dropbox.com, if it seems suspicious, or simply just ignore it.en I got a suspicious email from Dropbox asking me to upload files Comentario por Hannah August 2024

Hey @"cloudres", thanks for your post today. To provide some context on syncing speeds, keep in mind that most internet service providers measure connectivity speeds in kilobits and megabits (KB and MB), while most cloud storage providers measure the size of data in kilobytes and megabytes (also KB and MB). The difference…

Hey @"andy40", sorry to hear that you're having this issue. Just to confirm, have you checked your spam folder and added no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"Launce", thanks for reaching out to us. Syncing your files and backing up your files with Dropbox backup are indeed a bit different. With syncing, you need to manually add files to your Dropbox folder to sync them to your account. With Backup, you can select your desktop folders to get backed up automatically without…

Thanks for the screenshots, @"GG325". The app looks good to me, but as noted, it seems like you don't have any folders in your Dropbox folder to unsync through selective sync. Other than that, everything looks normal to me and you're on the most recent version as well, so no need to worry at all!

Hey @"KevinFischer", thanks for reaching out to us. Is the email address of the sender of this email one the addresses found in this article? Do you know the person mentioned in that email? Keep me posted.en I got a suspicious email from Dropbox asking me to upload files Comentario por Hannah August 2024

Thanks, Dave, it still looks broken on our end, so perhaps we can get back to the screenshot later. For now, can you let me know which Android version and which Dropbox version you're using? Also, are you simply opening the file to preview it within the Dropbox app or are you opening the file with the Excel app?
-
Hey @"SPoirier", thanks for reaching out to us. Can you please clarify if you're referring to making someone else the owner of a shared folder? Or are you a member of a Dropbox team and are perhaps talking about making someone else the admin? Let me know and we'll go from there.
-
Hey @"marktaylor61", regarding the option to see the file size, can you try from a different browser, to see if you get a different behavior? Also, can you send us a screenshot of what you see when you try to delete the files from your "all files" page? As for deleting your account, of course, deleting the account, will…

I'm afraid the image isn't loading for us, Dave, it looks broken. 😕 If you're on your mobile device, I'd suggest requesting the desktop version of the site, to see the upload button to attach the screenshot.

Thanks for checking, @"mblah". We don't have this kind of access here on the Community, so in order to check this on my end, I'll need to send you an email. Before we do that, though, can you please try the lookup tool once again from a different browser, to see if that has any effect?
-
Sorry to see that you're having this issue, @"MikeF44224". Can you try the steps here for a more advanced reinstall of the Dropbox app and let me know if that helps? Thanks!
-
Would you mind attaching the screenshot to your reply, Dave? For security reasons we can't access the link above, I'm afraid.
-
Hi there, @"mblah", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. Keep in mind that we don't have a way of charging you, unless you provide your billing info, so perhaps this is an older account you forgot you had, or maybe you were paying for someone else's. You can use our payment lookup tool to see which account the…

Thanks for checking, @"CarlsB". Just as a test, are you able to open the link from a mobile device, while only using cellular data? Also, what type of file(s) does the link correspond to?
-
Hey @"Dave_Rado", thanks for reaching out to us. Are you using an Android or an iOS device? Can you let us know exactly what you see when you open the file from the Dropbox mobile app? A screenshot of the message would be helpful, if you can send us one. Cheers.
-
Thanks for reaching out to us, @"jeff7117". Would you mind sending us a screenshot of how the window appears for you now? Have you tried closing the app and re-launching it, to see if that makes a difference? Thanks!
-
Thanks for keeping us updated, @"MusicDudeNick". If the issue returns, don't hesitate to let us know. Have a great day!
-
Hmm, that's strange indeed. I wonder if it's a sync issue, or perhaps a visual one. If you click on the Dropbox icon, then on your initials and then on 'view sync issues', do you see anything listed?
-
Hey @"p aplin vft", if you haven't already, can you restart your computer, to see if that helps?
-
Hey there, @"GG325", the Dropbox application is the same for all our users. Can you perhaps send us some screenshots of how the app appears for you?
-
Hey @"CATS001", indeed, this is an issue mostly on Windows computers; do the files sync, once they're renamed to remove those characters?
-
Hey @"reecer", welcome to our Community and sorry to hear about this. It sounds like you had enabled the backup feature on your Dropbox application, for the Downloads folder to have been backed up to your Dropbox. Can you take a look at this page and let me know if you can find the folder? Let me know how it goes.
