Hey, thanks for the nudge here! I'm afraid that the highlight color is something that cannot be changed at the moment, however, we appreciate the feedback on this. I will make sure that your comments are passed along to our devs team. You are also welcome to post an idea about this on our idea board.

Hey @"kwisen", welcome to our Community! All the keyboard shortcuts and the options you have, are what you see in the Help Center article you hyperlinked. However, you're more than welcome to post your ideas on our idea board. If your idea gets a lot of votes, we can send it up for review! Let me know if you have any…

Of course, Amir, thanks for the update here! Can you take a look at this thread and try the steps that @"andreabonato" provided, to see if they help you too?
-
You mean that when you open your Dropbox folder, you don't see a "Mac" or "My Mac" folder at all? Or do they exist, but they don't have your desktop files in them?
-
Hey @"Pham", thanks for posting on our Community today! If you're not receiving the SMS with the security code, you may want to use an offline code generator, like an authenticator app. You can see more info about that here. Let me know how it goes.
-
Hey @"amiralin", thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community! Can you try performing an advanced reinstall of the Dropbox app, to see if that helps? Let me know how it goes.
-
Hey @"Bo_Jangalz", thanks for joining our Community! I'm afraid that's not currently possible with cameras. Photos can only be uploaded automatically, as you take them, through a phone. When it comes to cameras, you need to plug the camera in to your computer and upload the photos through the Dropbox desktop application.…

Hey @"Phil80", thanks for posting on our Community! Can you check your spam folder, to see if the email went there? If not, try adding no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts and then try to verify your email address again. Let me know how it goes.

At the moment, with computer backup, the files can only exist on one location on the specific drive. You could make a copy of your desktop files on a different drive, however, they won't sync with Dropbox. You're welcome to post an idea about this on our idea board!

Thanks for the update here, Wilfred, and happy Monday! Is it possible that your machines are missing some codecs and that's why they cannot play this video on your media players? It can't be corrupted if it previews on our website and on your client's end, but it is strange that you're having this issue on two different…

Thanks for the detailed response, Tom. Since you recently downloaded Dropbox to this new computer and chose to sync your files as online-only, perhaps some of them have stayed that way. Do they have the green check mark icon next to them, or the cloud icon? If lots of them have the cloud icon, you can actually right click…
-
Hey @"beardedone", thanks for posting on our Community and happy Friday! Are you referring to the history on your notification window, when you click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar? If so, I'm afraid that there's no way to clear it at the moment. You're welcome to post an idea about this on our idea…
-
Hey @"Wilfred Kirby", thanks for reaching out today! Is this a file that was shared with your through a link, or is it saved in your Dropbox account? If it's saved, do you perhaps have the Dropbox application installed on your computer, to check if you can play it from your Dropbox folder? Also, when you download it, does…

Thanks for the feedback about this, Paul, I will definitely pass it along. As for the files, they are still on your computer, they're just in Dropbox. So, even if you're offline, you can still access them from there.
-
Sure thing, Kevin! Well, you could make a copy of the Dropbox folder on your old computer, move it to the new one (perhaps with a USB drive) and name it 'Dropbox'. And then during the installation of the application, you should be able to use the 'advanced settings' and choose the folder in question as the destination…

Oh, it's great that you'd like the desktop folders to be backed up! And that's kind of how the backup feature works. Your actual desktop folders are in your Dropbox folder and the original folders serve as shortcuts to the folders in the Dropbox folder. If you ever want to disable the feature and move the folders back to…
-
Hey @"TomTommy1", thanks for posting on our Community. Did you by any chance enable the backup feature for your external drive, when you plugged it in to your computer? Also, is it possible to send me a screenshot of the pop-up notification you receive, so I can check it out? Thanks.
-
You're most welcome, Robin! If you have any more questions, please make sure to give us a shout. Have a great day!
-
Hey @"Chambo55", thanks for the post! The best way to set up Dropbox on a new computer is to download the desktop application and allow it to sync your files. If you're on a paid account, you can choose to sync your files as 'online-only' through Smart sync during the installation. That way, the application will sync…
-
Hey @"paulpeterson", thanks for posting on our Community today! It seems that when you re-synced the Dropbox application, you enabled the computer backup feature. If you don't want these desktop folders to be backed up to Dropbox, you can disable it by following the steps here. Just make sure that syncing is finished…

That's perfect, thanks for keeping me updated. I'm happy to see it's resolved now! If you have any more questions, make sure to let us know. Have a great week ahead!
-
Hey @"deltastar", thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community! It seems that during the installation of the Dropbox application, you turned on 'computer backup', which backs up your desktop files to Dropbox. At this point, it would be best to link the computer back to the application and allow it to finish syncing. You…

Hey @"Robin CT", welcome to our Community! At the moment, watermarking is only available for image and PDF files. You can read more about the feature in this article. Let me know if you have any questions!
-
Hey @"thompson001", thanks for posting on our Community! Have you tried installing the new version of the application from this page? If it's still failing, can you let me know what happens exactly? At which point of the installation is it failing? And are you getting any error messages or is it just crashing? Thanks!
-
Hey @"Periannath", thanks for joining our Community! Would you mind describing the process you followed to unsync the files (or computer) in question? Also, can you please clarify what you mean when you say that you deleted the files from the cloud? Did you delete them from the website? Just to clarify, your files need to…
-
Hey @"timq", welcome aboard our Community! Indeed, with computer backup, if you delete your desktop files from Dropbox, they will also be deleted from your computer. If you want to disable the backup feature, you can follow the steps here. You'll find the Dropbox app's preferences, if you click on the Dropbox icon in your…

Hey @"jonhammer6", thanks for posting today! Can I actually reach out to you via email, so we can look into this? Thanks!
-
Hey @"Alina9", welcome to our Community! The sharing bandwidth limitations have more to do with shared links or file requests. When you share a folder with someone, the folder gets added (synced) to their account and does not use any of your daily bandwidth. You can read more about banned links here. Let me know if you…

That's perfect! Happy to hear you figured it out and that all is well. If you have any other questions, make sure to give us a shout. Have a great week ahead!

Hi there @"Raffa_hello", thanks for joining us! Can you please try quitting the app from the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and then relaunching it again from your applications folder, to see if that helps? Keep me posted!
