Thanks for the update here. Would you mind sending over a screenshot of the options you see? Also, what version of macOS are you running on your computer and which version of Dropbox do you have installed? You can see the Dropbox version, by hovering over the Dropbox icon again.

Thanks for the update here, Charlie! Would you mind giving us a bit more info on how you're doing this with an automated email feed? Are you using the Dropbox API? Any additional info will be helpful.
-
Hey @"Quang Van 98", thanks for reaching out to us about this. Can I actually send you an email to the address you have here on the Community, so we can look into this internally?
-
Hey @"Hagay", welcome aboard the Dropbox Community. Have you tried to uninstall the Dropbox application, restart your computer and then reinstall it, to see if that brings back the pop-up? Let me know how it goes!

Hey @"Thomas D.31", thanks for posting to our Community. Do you mean that you have a video file that is saved to your Dropbox, and when you preview it on the Dropbox app, it previews correctly, but when you download it to your device, there's no audio? And then if you go back to the file in the Dropbox app, there's no…

Hey @"Youssef087", thanks for posting your question to our Community today! The limits have changed since the thread above was posted. You can see the updated bandwidth/download limits here. Basically each download—even if it’s made by the same person multiple times—counts against your account's bandwidth limit. For…

Hey @"Charlie B-AU", welcome to our Community. When adding a file through the desktop app to a location where another file with the same name exists, the above behavior is expected. But if you do this using the Dropbox website, the new file should overwrite the old one. I've just tested this out on my end and it works, so…

Sorry to jump in here, @"sustainingfarmers"! If you go to the connected apps page in your account settings, do you see Google as an option there?
-
Hey @"Rubicon", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you on the latest version of Android? Can you also send me a screenshot of the error message you're getting when trying to log in? And if you uninstall the app, restart your device and then reinstall from the Google Play store, do you see the same? Keep me…
-
Hey @"Frustrated user1", thanks for letting us know about this. Are you seeing this when right-clicking on files in the backup folder or just any and all files in your Dropbox folder? Also, what's the sync status of the Dropbox application? You can hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar with your mouse, to check. Let…

Hey @"Jojo26", thanks for reaching out to our Community. I've found this article on the Microsoft support page, can you take a look and let me know if it helps at all? Thanks.
-
Not a problem, @Dizabanik, I just sent you an email, so make sure to get back to me when you get a chance. 🙂
-
Hey @"jessf", thanks for the nudge here. The thing is that if it works on other browsers or incognito, there must be some kind of security setting or plug-in you have installed on Chrome that's blocking the site. Would it be possible to restore Chrome to its default settings and disable any browser plugins, to see if that…
-
Hey @"Confused7", thanks for the nudge here and sorry to see you're having trouble. I will need some clarifications, so that I can help you with this. Is Dropbox currently installed on your computer? And why are you not able to put anything in your Dropbox? Also, what do you mean when you say that Dropbox is breaking the…

Thanks for the screenshot, Stuart. I do see the "available" icon on your camera uploads folder on the right. You can read more about the "available" icon and the rest of the sync icons here. If you actually click on the "make available offline" option and then add a file, what's the behavior you see?
-
Thanks for the nudge here, @"Dropper2244" and sorry to see you're having trouble with this. Can you please also check the sync status of the Dropbox app? You can do that by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
-
Thanks for that, Stuart, I appreciate you doing this. I'd like to ask you to run just another test, if you can. Is it possible that the parent folder the files are added to, is currently set to "online-only"? If so, can you right click on it, and make it "available offline" and then add a test file again, to see if this…
-
Hey @"sophm", thanks for the nudge here. Is it possible that you're paying for a different Dropbox account than the one you mainly use? Also, how have you been paying for your Dropbox subscription? Directly through your credit cad or through iTunes/Google Play? if you've been paying through credit card, you can try our…

The problem is that, if it works on an incognito window, with no extensions etc, then this is definitely a browser issue. You mentioned that you installed a new unzip app and ever since you did that, you're having this issue again? Is that an extension you added to Chrome?

The thing is, Danyel, that since the old Dropbox folder is no longer linked to your Dropbox account, it's now become just a normal folder on your computer. This has to do with Windows permissions. I have found some steps online, that may help with this situation, though. 1. Change User Account Control Settings. 2. Activate…

Hi there, @"JohnL3", how are you? The thing is, did you ever access these desktop files through our website? Meaning, did the desktop folders actually sync to your Dropbox? If they synced, and you deleted the Dropbox app along with the folders, the deletions should appear both in your events and deleted files page. But if…

Hey @"GedalyaFolkRockRabbi", thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community! Shared links created in Dropbox, are not private by default, meaning that anyone with access to the link, can access the files in the link. You'd need to create links with "view only" access, by following the steps in this article. Let me know how…

I see, this does look like a false positive, @"PSYKO". Since your Dropbox files are not harmed/encrypted in any way, you don't have to worry about this being an actual virus. Have you tried whitelisting Dropbox in your antivirus?
-
Hey @"Daniel53", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community. Did you make any large changes in your account perhaps? Move any large or multiple files? Perhaps this process has not finished on the backend yet. Are you still having this issue even now? Keep me posted.
-
Hey @"Hplar", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community! From your screenshot, I can see that these files are in your Downloads folder, within your Backups folder. So, it looks like you've enabled our backup feature on your Dropbox app and have backed up the downloads folder to your account. This explains why these…

You should still be able to see the Dropbox version, if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon, instead of clicking on it, would you mind trying again?
-
Hey @"Ryan T.6", thanks for the nudge here and for your feedback, which is really valuable. You can find answers to your questions in the FAQ article for our backup feature, but do let us know if you have additional questions.
-
Thanks for all this info, @"GPet73" and @"Abuhitham". Can you please confirm with us, which version of macOS you're running and which version of Dropbox you have installed? You can see the Dropbox version, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar with your mouse.
-
Thanks for this update here! Can you let us know if there was any difference after you restarted your computer? And also can you try ending all these processes and then relaunching the Dropbox app, to see if there's any change in behavior?

Hey everyone, thanks for reporting this to us. We've gathered your posts to this thread. Have you tried clearing your browser's cache and cookies, to see if that helps? Some super users have also provided some steps you can follow in this thread. Let us know if anything you tried, helps!
