Hey there @"CTYORO", welcome to the community! Totally understand your viewpoint here with wanting the popup to go away. However, some people find that notification useful because it alerts them where there's a duplicate and gives them an opportunity to *not* copy the file into the new folder to conserve precious space in…

Welcome to the community @"javieralban", we appreciate you coming in hot with a suggestion right off the bat 😆 Thanks so much for the feedback, we'll relay your thoughts to the team!

Welcome to the community @"umutguvenc" This particular situation is a little tricky and unfortunately may be beyond the scope of support we can provide here in a public forum. I would suggest contacting support@dropbox.com or abuse@dropbox.com directly.

New features can often take a while to work their way through Dropbox and make it into the final product. But in the short term, here's an unofficially supported workflow you might have some luck trying out. Your suggestion has been relayed to the Dropbox team, we really appreciate your feedback!

This is an observation I've seen come up a few times this year in the community, I love that someone officially suggested it. Let's see if we can gather some support!
-
@"javalava54" So as of right now you only have your original Dropbox account, there is no additional account? There may be an additional Dropbox account connected to the email in question. We'll have someone reach out via email to clear this up
-
Thanks for your suggestion @"logicnet" Bringing this to the floor for votes!
-
A very sensible suggestion @"orchetect". Your Idea is now open and ready for votes and support from the community.

A great idea @"scottwheatley" ! Let's open this bad boy up and gather some support

Hey @"javalava54" , just checking in to confirm something. Have you recently created another account? (not the one you created and deleted in your original post). If yes, can you delete that account as well? I am *not* talking about the original account in question, only the newly created ones.
-
Sounds like its time for an adventure, I just pinged the team to get a better answer
-
Hey there @"javalava54" welcome to the community You'll be unable to use the email of the 2nd created Dropbox account. That email is now out of action for you. I realize it may not be the ideal outcome, but is it completely out of the question to keep your original account with the original email address its connected with?

Hey there, welcome to the forum @"asdavies" Are you looking to see when your student viewed the folder itself, or when they edited or added specific files inside the shared folder? This distinction is important because you'd be able to see a log of edits, but not if someone simply viewed the folder.

Just circling back on this to make sure the issue has been solved for you. If you check this thread, Neal provides an update that should bring clarity!

Welcome to the community @"MilkBar", let's try to unravel this situation. Our first step will be to have the affected user (who has the folder/file you want to move) confirm their account type and ownership. They'll do that by: Signing in to dropbox.com/account. Click the tab that says 'Plan', and check: Does it say…

Hey there @"skiibum", It pains me to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like you've missed the deadline, we're unable to retrieve any passwords that weren't retrieved prior to the shutoff.

Hi @"LegendofJuli", Thanks for submitting your idea. Let's work on getting some votes to gather support now!
-
Hey @"EstherKitheka", hope you don't mind me jumping in for a second. After reviewing your tablet's info, it appears that while it reports Android 13, the underlying system is using an older kernel version. Android 13 devices typically run a newer kernel. This mismatch can prevent certain apps, including Dropbox, from…

Hey @"Benjamin Gordon" welcome back, Because you've installed Dropbox multiple times and switched between legacy and file provider, can we start by confirming that you only have one version installed currently? On macOS, open Applications and ensure you don’t have multiple Dropbox versions ( legacy + File Provider) that…

@"cyenx", thanks for hanging in there, I completely understand the frustration with the wait. The Ignore Files feature should now be available for all Beta users. I'm following up to see if you if you ever got enrolled in Early Access. If not, if you're interested I'll email you with instructions to help with access issues.

Hey there, welcome to the community @"Andy T.23" Here's a helpful page on Dropbox Sync Icons and what they mean for windows users. Can you confirm whether sync by demand is turned on for this device in your Dropbox settings? Open Dropbox, click your name/icon in the bottom left corner, open preferences, select sync, and…
-
Hey there @"Kismuntr" welcome back to the community, Can you confirm whether you have Dropbox Backup or external drive backup enabled for this external hard drive or the deleted folder? You can find this by opening the dropbox desktop app, clicking your name/icon in the bottom left corner, opening preferences and clicking…

It's great that our mods reached out to everyone in thread that needed help, but for newer readers who may land on this page: To contact Dropbox support, go to dropbox.com/get_help. Once you log in, you’ll see your available support options based on your plan and account type.

Welcome to the community @"W_B_", to make sure I understand you correctly I have a question or two. What type of Dropbox plan are you on? Is this an individual account or are you creating these folders on a team plan? Can I have some clarification on what you mean by "This is already how it behaves in individual accounts."…
-
Hey there, welcome to the community @"JonR" When you say you have a ‘full offline sync,’ do you mean your entire Dropbox folder is synced locally using the desktop app, or have you used Selective Sync or Smart Sync to exclude or make some folders online-only?
-
Make sure you vote in the linked thread @"DavidMars"! We're always looking to get more community support on feature requests
-
Hey there, welcome to the community @"outbacktommy" In short, No, leaving the shared folder from your account does not delete it from the owner or other members. Alternatively, Have the person create a "view only" shared link, that way you'll be able to access the file without it counting toward your account. You can read…

Hey there @"markfleener" , welcome to the community. Let's take a look at your issue Are you currently connected to WiFi or mobile data when the upload is stuck, and if on WiFi, have you tried switching to mobile data (or a different WiFi network) to see if the behavior changes?
