Just wanna jump in here on the heels of Megan. I completely understand how frustrating it must be to juggle multiple clients and run into these limitations, especially when the workarounds add extra hassle instead of helping. Moments like this where the community calls out where we could better fit their use case are the…

Just adding some extra context, here's the FAQs on the Dropbox Paper app discontinuation that may address questions you have. Obviously not ideal, but you can continue using Paper on Web on any of your devices after this date by logging into paper.dropbox.com using your browser. I would recommend bookmarking the page and…

Hey there, welcome to the community @"mountainwoodcottages" The Dropbox Sign app was removed late last year.

Hey there, welcome to the forum @"Linda -Tip" To change your email address on Dropbox, log in to the Dropbox website, click your avatar in the top-right corner, select Settings, then click Edit next to your current email under the General tab. I know you said "phone only", if you don't have access to a laptop you can do…

I've seen this Idea come up on occasion, but unfortunately it hasn't been able to get enough support from the community to push it into the next stage of consideration. Until then, the Dropbox backups feature will be the best available option (acknowledging this isn't as great as a physical external hard drive).

This is great insight, thanks so much for sharing

Just popping in with a little bit more info for others who may be experiencing this same problem. Another common culprit will be your Dropbox Backups. Check out this bit from our Community FAQs - My account is empty but Dropbox says it's full
-
Just want to pop in and add, Dropbox also has instructions on requesting refunds from Google Play if you ever find yourself in a situation where you want to subscribe to Dropbox directly,
-
Hey there @"phdnd", welcome to the community. I'm assuming this is Dropbox web because you mentioned the only way around it has been to download the app. Have you tried logging into Dropbox from a different browser? This has shown to be a common culprit in similar cases. You can find more info here.

No worries at all, that's what we're here for. Don't hesitate to stop by if you need anything else

Hey there, welcome to the community @"eliemediocre" Do you have backups enabled? You can check here: https://www.dropbox.com/backup/all

Hey everyone, just popping in to share some extra context around referrals from our Community FAQs and provide some links that may be helpful if you're encountering this same issue. * How referrals work * Covers "Ineligible" when recipient already has an account or uses the same device. * “Email already in use” guidance *…

Hey @"lindap1011", thanks for dropping by the community. First we have to gather a little information from you. Which Dropbox plan are you on? Free? Plus? Prior to your daughter clicking the link you sent, when was the last time you'd logged into this dropbox account? Have you checked the email connected to this Dropbox…
-
Hey there @"JRA-1223" , I hope you're doing well! Have you received any emails from Dropbox related to this at all? To make sure we're on the same page, Dropbox has a page on interrupted sharing activity. Is this one of the articles you've read on the subject? Are you currently sharing any files that may be getting a lot…
-
@"Frankiilab" how are you generally finding the transition from Google Photos to Dropbox? Other than the upload filtering and album organization, of course.
-
Hey @"JimRobinson", this issue has been mitigated, but I wanted to check in to see if everything was working as intended for you. Are you still receiving an error?
-
Hey everyone, great news to report. The team has been hard at work and this issue should now be mitigated. Please restart your Dropbox desktop app.
-
@"cutelilfish77" welcome to the community! Are there any other emails or Dropbox accounts you have access to that could have been upgraded by mistake?
-
Welcome to the community @"Kevin m1" Do you know if you've previously signed up for any kind of Dropbox trial? I'd suggest checking out the Support page while you're not signed in to a Dropbox account, (including these forums), and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing…

Thanks for dropping by the community @"ooohoc" Have you checked the email box for the account in question to review any previous correspondence from Dropbox? Have there been any previous warnings, flags, or violations? Also, do you know how long its been since the suspension came into effect?
-
Welcome to the community @"evanstein" Can you please let us know the app's exact status and version as shown in your taskbar at the moment? When you try to open the online-only file does it give you any kind of error? (this would be right before you took the screenshot you provided)
-
Thanks for dropping by @"Sindalas" , glad to have you! Can you provide any more info on the installation error you're getting, is it possible to provide a screenshot?
-
Hey everyone, just following up to say this bug should be fixed now. Let us know if you encounter any trouble. Enjoy your weekend!

Hey there @"Holthouse" Sign into your Dropbox on web and navigate to the folder you'd like to rewind. Hover over the folder with your cursor. Open the folder settings and select "Rewind this folder" Dropbox will show you a timeline of recent changes, drag the slider or pick the calendar date (in your case, one week ago).…
-
Welcome to the forum @"Murmur" As things currently stand, Dropbox does not let you cancel or stop the syncing of a single file once it has started, unless you remove or relocate the file from the Dropbox folder. The “Do Not Sync” (Sync → Online-only) options only affect future syncing behavior, not an active transfer. If…

Hey @"bengal_puppy", just jumping in for a second. The Dropbox app immediately launching when you load a paper link on web will depend on how you're launching the link. I have an Android phone as well and just tested this out. When clicking a Dropbox Paper link directly from Gmail, it will force the Dropbox App to open.…

Just adding in some context for future viewers of this thread. If you encounter this same problem and have never shared anything previously, have a quick look at our Acceptable Use Policy to ensure you're in compliance. This is general advice and not specifically related to OP's case, which I did not handle.
-
In addition to checking out the link above from Megan, if you're encountering sharing activity disruptions please have a quick look at our Acceptable Use Policy to ensure you're in compliance. Just adding in some extra context for future viewers of this thread, these links are packed with info and could possibly save you…
