As soon as you hit 20GB of traffic or 100,000 downloads within a 24-hour period, your share links (ALL your share links, not just the one that reaches the limit) will become disabled. Note that it's a 24-hour period on a sliding window, and not per calendar…

It's quite simple actually. Create a new computer user account, log in to the computer as that user, then install Dropbox as you normally would. You cannot have two separate Dropbox accounts running under a single computer user account unless one of those is a Dropbox for Business account.

Justin P.2 wrote:I'm a very longtime Dropbox user, and rarely have an issue. However, in the last few weeks, I've had some cleints of mine try to download some larger zip files (between 500MB and 2GB usually) who tell me that they are having issues downloading the files. There seems to be an issue with downloads stopping…

The Dropbox folder on your local drive contains a hidden folder that is used for syncing and for the temporary storage of deleted files. Because of this, your local Dropbox folder will almost always be larger than the space reported as used online.

Looking at a few other posts from Dropboxers in the past, there is no method to move the Dropbox folder from the command line.
-
You can move the Dropbox folder to another location (though I don't know if it's possible via command line) but the folder itself will always be called Dropbox.

People have been asking for this for years. It's unlikely to happen, unfortunately.

Tell them to check the Teams page. Also, does that mean you can only belong to one team? I believe that's the case, yes.

As it states, they are already a member of a team. They'll need to leave that team before they can be invited into another.

Browser specific, maybe (wild guess)? What browser are you using?

I just click the "Name" header and it sorts back to folders on top, then files. This is for both the new interface (which shows "Members") and the old, preferred, interface (which shows "Shared with").

You can't. Dropbox will always add and/or start the update process as it sees fit.

Just downgrade your account the day after subscribing and you won't be auto-renewed. You'll remain a Pro subscriber until the end of your current term (monthly or yearly) and at that point you'll be downgraded back to Basic automatically with no further charges.

The preview page displays a lower resolution image by design. It's simply a preview. If you need to see the file in its original quality, you need to download the file and open it on your computer.

That's a Windows error code. Google it and you'll likely get a lot of hits.

Sounds like the Dropbox client is trying to update itself but failing, then continuing to try again repeatedly. Something must be preventing the update from succeeding. The "Up to date" message isn't referring to your client version, but the sync status of your files. The latest releases are 15.4.22 for stable and 16.3.27…

MerlintheMad wrote:If I click and drag from my "C" drive "Pictures" and "Documents" folders, to the Dropbox folder, will that overwrite what Dropbox has already uploaded to the Website? That depends on your OS, where the files are located and how you dragged them. Most often, when the file or folder you're dragging in on the same drive as the Dropbox folder, you just drag it into the folder. This will move the files into Dropbox (you don't want to copy them in, because then you have two separate copies on…

It sounds like you're using your web browser and the Dropbox website to upload. Browser uploads and downloads are not resumable through the website. If you download and install the Dropbox client and put your files/folders in the Dropbox folder that gets created on your computer, they will be uploaded in 4MB chunks and…

That's not possible. The only permissions to a shared folder are full edit, or view-only. You cannot create a shared folder that allows uploads (basically, modify rights) without also allowing edit and delete capabilities. For uploads only, you can create a File Request. They will be able to upload files to your account,…
