Unfortunately, you can't. You can disconnect all third-party service contacts (which you say you don't use), but there's no way to edit the learned names or emails. All you can do is type them properly each time you need to share.

This refers the the Dropbox website, and not the Dropbox folder on a computer.

I just heard back from DB and this appears to be a bug. They're looking into it. If I hear anything new I'll post again.

Have you restarted Dropbox to see if it can re-index and continue syncing? If a simple restart doesn't fix it, then refer to the following help article: * https://help.dropbox.com/sync/files-not-syncing

@"GTharp" wrote: I always send emails from my phone. I typed an email, clicked add attachment, chose Dropbox, found the file and chose attach file. @"Vltripp7500" wrote:My point is, other storage apps, such as OneDrive, still have both options (“attach file” or “insert link”). It is only Dropbox than no longer gives the “attach file” option. That doesn't matter. It is still a Microsoft issue. Dropbox has no control over the methods used to select files in other…

Agreed. Threads are being closed way too early lately. I've merged the two and reopened this one. That being said, you will not find a workaround. As Mark stated, there is no file structure on an iOS device, and even if there were, it would differ from anything on a Windows system. What you're looking for just isn't…

It's probably just another change to the website. I'm not able to drag files into folders either. I either have to open the folder and drag files into it from the computer, or use the Move function on the website if I'm dealing with a file that's already in Dropbox. Dropbox continues to update the site in the name of…

@"Jonzo123" wrote:I use both mac and windows (via VM ware) Until yesterday I could drag and drop on either operating system and now I can't on either. Are you referring to the folders on your computers, or while using the Dropbox website? If you're doing this with the folders on your computer, then Dropbox has nothing to…

@"Vltripp7500" wrote:It just seems to be a problem between outlook and dropbox. It is not a problem between Outlook and Dropbox. The ability to attach a file from Dropbox no longer exists in Outlook.

That's not possible with Dropbox and I know of no workaround that would make it possible. Remember that Dropbox on mobile devices does not sync files like it does on your computer. It just shows you a lit of the files in your account and downloads them to the device as you access them. Links, shortcuts, etc. will not work.

I stumbled upon this the other day. I don't know if it uses one call per file so you'll need to research that, but the utility looks promising and might work for your situation. * https://rclone.org/dropbox/

Agreed! It is just another in a growing list of features that have been removed by Dropbox.

@"Paddy" wrote:if the problem is with outlook, how come i can still attach files from dropbox from my laptop. The issue only seems to be when i try and do it from my ipad. The two are unrelated. The app on your iPad is not the same as the application on your laptop. They use different technologies and a different process…

The only other suggestion would be to make sure the Proxy setting in Dropbox Preferences is set to No Proxy. Failing that, something on your computer and/or network is blocking access to Dropbox. If you can't determine what it is, you'll want to open a ticket with Support so they can assist you. Open your ticket here:…

Temporarily disabled your antivirus?

When you hover your cursor over the icon (as described above) it will tell you the number files remaining, the speed and the estimated time remaining.
-
It no longer exists. You'll need to locate each share in your main list of folders and manage them from there.
-
If you're using the Dropbox client on your computer and the file was placed in the local Dropbox folder, then it will resume the file automatically if the transfer is interrupted. If it appears to be stuck, hover your mouse cursor over the Dropbox icon in the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac) and see what Dropbox…

Just as a test, are you able to log in to the Dropbox website using the same credentials you're using on your phone? To be certain, use a private browser session/incognito tab so Dropbox doesn't log you in automatically without actually entering your credentials.

A person can only have access to the specific item that was linked to. If they're seeing an entire folder, then the link was to the folder and not a file within it. Also, if you're testing the link yourself, YOU will see your entire folder because you're already logged in to Dropbox. A recipient of a link will not see…

Many others have requested that Dropbox add such a feature in the past, yet they've never added it. You can search the Share feedback forum for those posts and add your own comments to them.
