Start with the following help article: * https://www.dropbox.com/help/account/find-account-email If that doesn't help, you can try contacting Support but I don't know what information they will be able to tell you without verification of your account information, which is done through the email address associated with your…

@"XP" wrote: Serve website images from Dropbox by retrieving its image URL with API You don't need the API to do this. Just get a share link to the image like you would for any other file type, and then change the end of the URL as explained in this help article (change ?dl=0 to ?raw=1). Again, as Jay explained, share…

I have to agree with @"Mark". Renaming or moving a file that has a share link is unreliable. While it's supposed to keep the same link, my experience has been inconsistent in that the link has changed many times when it shouldn't have. It's not a feature that I would rely on.

Any solution provided by a third-party (such as the one from Plex) would be accomplished using the Dropbox API. It's not a feature that Dropbox is…

You'll want to contact Dropbox Business Support. The options for doing so can be found in your Admin console under Help, or you can open a ticket. Open your ticket here: https://dropbox.com/support Track your ticket here: https://dropbox.zendesk.com Replies take approximately 1 - 3 business days with Plus, Professional and…

Are you going through the uninstall process? You can't just delete the Dropbox folder without uninstalling the application. Well, you can, but that won't remove the application.

Do you have two separate accounts, one personal and one business, that you've linked together on the Dropbox website? If so, and best guess... the third-party apps aren't able to handle linked accounts. The Dropbox iOS app can handle this situation. Third-party apps would need to be capable of that as well. I don't know if…

If you don't see a Dropbox icon in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac), then the Dropbox client isn't running. Try to launch it again from your Start Menu on Windows or the Applications folder on a Mac. [This thread is now closed. If you have a similar or new question, you can ask here]

Remember that Dropbox is not a backup service. It's a file synchronization service meant to keep a copy of the files on your computer in-sync with a copy online and on other devices. It is not a proper backup service and shouldn't be used as one. There are far better services out there if backup is your only purpose. Also,…

Are you sure it's referring to the space in your Dropbox account and not the available space on your local drive? Remember, Dropbox is not a virtual volder or drive where the files only exist in the cloud. It's a folder on your computer like any other. Anything you put in it takes up space on your local drive. If you have…

Are you referring to the Dropbox website or the folder on your computer. If it's the folder, use the features of your opreating system for that. If it's the Dropbox website, select all the files in the folder and the count will be shown in the upper right.

This used to be a feature on the Photos page before they removed it, along with just about every other photo feature that we had. Dropbox clearly has little interest in photos now. They continue to remove features and then spin things as though it's better now, when in reality the Photos page is all but useless now.…

Those are functions controlled by the respective site; not Dropbox. They control how posting works, and whether or not you can post directly from Dropbox. If they no longer allow it to work, you can always upload a photo to either site from the Dropbox folder on your computer.

@"wigwamtoys" wrote:... the links do not pull through and download from dropbox like they have done with other hotlinks i've made on our site. Select everything all at once, then right-click. You don't have to do it one folder at a time. Select as few or as many folders and files as you want, even all of them. You can also right-click on the Dropbox folder itself and set it to Online-Only. Note that if you have a lot of files to change, it will take a while and…

@"digiraiter" wrote:I Limited Bandwidth to 1KB to try to stop it, Didn't help That option to limit bandwidth is only for the syncing of your files, and does not apply to the update process. If you've limited it to 1KB, you'll find that it takes forever for your files to sync.

@"digiraiter" wrote:my Dropbox version is now v50.3.66 You're running a Beta version of Dropbox which is also one version behind. Most likely, Dropbox is trying to update itself each night and failing, which is why it tries again each night. I'd suggest you manually install the latest available release (v50.3.67 as of this…

If there isn't an option in Dropbox Preferences to disable the link creation, then you likely can't. On Windows, it's two separate capture methods; Print Screen for a screenshot, CTRL+Print Screen for a screenshot and a link. That option doesn't seem to be available on a Mac according to the help article on the feature.

Actually, it would be ?raw=1, not ?dl=1.

That's likely not an error in the image loading on the Dropbox side (test the link manually to see if it loads), but an error with the platform you're using not recognizing a URL unless it ends in a valid image extension. In those cases, there's nothing you can do.

Permanently deleting files isn't needed to clear space. Simply deleting them is enough. Files in the Deleted Files section do not count against your storage quota. If Dropbox is saying your account is full, then it's still full. You need to remove enough files to bring your account back below your quota before that message…

If it's ON the Dropbox icon, then that usually means there's a notification for you; a share invite or message from Dropbox, etc. Click the icon to open the Dropbox menu and you'll see a Notifications tab. If it's next to the icon and not on it, then it's likely not Dropbox.

Dropbox has no such feature. Use the security options built-in to the operating system to protect the folder. First and foremost, each user should be using their own computer account. Secure your account and no one (but the admins) can access the data within it. Moderator note: You can read into a similar thread…
