  • @"Imran23" Is it possible for you to login to Dropbox web from a browser, and check the files instead of using the mobile app? The issue could be with the mobile app. You may try to reinstall the app, and check also.
  • Can you please sort the files by file size, and check if they are the actual files? If there are no sensitive information, you may share a screenshot, that might help us better understand.
  • @"Imran23" wrote: When I click on the files none of them open. Hello Imran, do you see the files/thumbnails in Dropbox web?
  • Hey @"Jpkallio", did he already zipped the videos into a single file? In that case you should be able to download it. If the error persists, you may install the desktop app, and sync the file to your hard drive. You may use selective sync to only sync that particular folder.
  • Hey @"sd_6", you should see or able to browse the video files under subfolders once you login to Dropbox web https://www.dropbox.com/home
  • Hi @"joaochora", I would still insist you to try with your carrier to obtain the same number. I think, cell carriers can change the number associated with a SIM card (unless it is already taken). I changed my SIM card several times (when I needed a new 4G SIM, when I ported to another cell carrier etc.). Each time I went…
  • Hey @"Topfrog", I am afraid there is no settings to control the bandwidth in the iOS app. Only way to speed up is to connect to a faster wi-fi (or cell) network, and make sure that your iPhone is not in low power mode.
  • Hey @"Luanne R.1", You can disable importing photos to Dropbox from the preferences. Click the Dropbox icon on the Menubar > Click the gear icon > and choose Preferences. Next, go to Import tab, and uncheck the Enable camera uploads checkbox. You should not delete the Photos Library.photoslibrary as it contains the data of…
  • @"SteveAL": In case of free/basic accounts, it is 20 GB and 100,000 downloads per day.
  • Hi @"SteveAL", If you are a Dropbox Plus, Professional, or Business subscriber, your bandwidth limit is 200 GB per day: The total amount of traffic that all of your links and file requests combined can generate. More info - https://www.dropbox.com/help/security/banned-links
  • Hi @"RobLear", Once you install the Dropbox Desktop app, it creates a folder named Dropbox in your computer, anything you put inside this folder is automatically synced to Dropbox cloud (and other connected devices). By default, the Documents folder is outside the Dropbox folder, and not synced by Dropbox. However, you can…
  • Hey @"JoeyCht", Once you click the "Sign in using Google account" button, it should launch your default browser, and you should be able to sing-in using your Google account on the browser. If possible, can you please change your default browser to another browser (say, Google Chrome) in Windows Default apps settings and…
  • Hi @"JeffR18", Yes, Dropbox folder resides in your computer hard drive. The default location is in your Mac home folder. When you are not online, the files would be still available. You are correct about both matters. You may make Alias (shortcut) of the particular folder you want, and put that Alias on your desktop for…
  • Hi @"Nicole7", After you put that 38GB folder in your Dropbox folder, and before you unchecked that folder for selective sync, was your Dropbox app Up to date? It is important that the particular folder was completely synced to Dropbox cloud before you applied selective sync. If the folder does not appear in the cloud, I…
  • Hey @"Russ B.3", Error 500 could mean a backend issue. How big are your folders? If it is larger than 20 GB or contains more than 10000 files, it could be problematic https://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/download-entire-folders. If you are beyond those limits, you may install the Desktop app, and sync the folders to…
  • Hey @"RobLear", Dropbox does not provide a direct way to backup emails. You may find third party apps/services which can do that like IFTTT or Zapier. In case you are using a mail client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderfird, it is possible to export all your mailbox data (email, calendar, contacts) manually and…
  • Hey @"Rever3", If you have Edit permission, once you delete something, it will also be deleted for every member of the shared folder. However, you won't be able to permanently delete a file unless you are a owner of the shared folder. All members can see the deleted files in Deleted Files tab, and restore them within the…
  • Where do you want to move? In iOS, you do not have true file structure, you can access a file via a supported app. In your Photos app all videos stay under the album Video. You can certainly save the videos in another supported app. Or you can just keep them in Photos, and organize them in new albums if you like, it is…
  • Hi @"Jrby", * Install the Dropbox iOS app in your iPad if you have not already. * Open the Dropbox app, go to Files tab, and browse the video file. * Click the options menu (...) on top right, and select Export. * Then select Save Video, and it will save the video file to your camera roll. You have to do it for each video…
  • Is it possible that the files are hidden in your system? Can you please turn on the Windows explorer settings to show hidden files? • Hi Richard, can you please launch your Dropbox folder, and check if the files are there? Please click the Dropbox icon in your windows tray, then click the folder icon, it will take you to the Dropbox folder. Do you see the files there? Also, in the Excel program do you see the file path in the recent files list? If you…
  • Hi @"Blain B.", can you please see if the Dropbox process appears in the Activity Monitor. Just launch Spotlight search ([command] + [space bar]) and search for Activity Monitor. There in the Memory tab, you should find Dropbox process if it is running. Select the process, and click force quit. Then uninstall Dropbox and…
  • Hey @"rcpluse", I am afraid that you cannot recover those files via Dropbox anymore. If you were a Dropbox Basic user when the deletion happened, those deleted files would be kept for 30 days. After 30 days those files would have been removed permanently from the Dropbox server. Now subscribing to Dropbox Pro cannot…
  • Hello Amanda, I imagine you are syncing the files to your computer hard disc. You can copy the files/folders from your computer hard drive to the external hard drive. Dropbox folder is just like any other folder in your computer, whatever you save inside the Dropbox folder, it is replicated in the Dropbox cloud and any…
  • Hi both @"esar2" and @"CyG", I am afraid that the folder you are trying to share contains at least one folder or subfolder which is already shared. Can you plese check that all folders and sub-folders do not have the shared folder icon (folder with people icon) as @"Jay" mentioned? If there are too many folders, and it is…
  • @"Jeff S.73" You may follow my steps above. However, I would recommend that you make a backup copy of your Dropbox folder to an external hard drive if possible.
  • Hi @"jamilsiddique", before you return your company laptop, you should unlink your Dropbox account or uninstall the Dropbox app. However, uninstalling the app will not delete your local data from the computer. You should manually delete your local Dropbox folder.
  • Hi @"jamilsiddique", you should not delete the folder from any computer. If you do not want to sync certain folders to a particular computer, you can do that by the using Selective Sync. You can keep everythin on the Dropbox web, and sync only the folders you need to a particular computer. To do that first go to the tray…
  • @"Jeff S.73" If Windows restore does not affect your local files and folders, after the reinstallation and relinking Dropbox app should not cause any problem provided you preserve all settings including Dropbox folder location. However, Dropbox app might reindex your files agin, just give it some time, and everything…
  • Hi @"adoo", here are some of the facts as far as I know on the topic: * On transit, your data is encrypted using 128-bit or higher Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption and travels via TLS/SSL. * Your data is stored in the Dropbox servers as random data blocks and encrypted using 256 bit AES. * Note that the data…
