Accessing older version history with basic plan

Accessing older version history with basic plan

I currently have a basic plan with only a 30 day version history. I need to access the 180 day history for a file. Is it possible to upgrade my plan now, and then be able to access the 180 day version history of a file as NOW?

Hi @richmond102, thanks for posting today.

It wouldn't be possible to do this, since upgrading to a paid plan for the version history isn't retroactive.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

Its a super important file. Would there be any way to pay an extra fee and have someone at Dropbox make a 90 day version history available to me? Only for this one file

There simply isn't any history for us to locate. For Basic plans, after 30 days of a file being modified or deleted, those older copies are permanently deleted from our servers.

Not even our team can recover any data.

That's not possible. Once you're beyond the recovery period for your account, it's not possible to recover a file.
