Hi @"deanccs"! Thanks for posting here today. Since it looks like your sharing activity has been interrupted for one of the reasons mentioned here, we can log a ticket for you and further assist internally. Is it OK if we reach out to you at the email address you see on this page? Let me know.

Hey @"taalib", thanks for your post. In general, upgrading your Dropbox account doesn’t affect the files you’ve stored there. However, let’s have a look into this to see what may have happened. Have you already checked your Deleted files and Events pages? How about your Sharing tab? Was the folder that you’re now missing…en I've lost one of my folders after upgrading my Dropbox account. Hey @"ntkanit"! Thanks for tagging us here. Have you also checked if there are any devices left that are still logged in to your Dropbox account? My suggestion would be to check their notifications and see if you can find the one-time code there. Another workaround you can try (if you wish, of course) is to reset the…

Thanks for these, @"Aahawk83"! They really help. If you open your File Explorer now, there’s no Dropbox folder at the location you selected, correct? If not, I’d like you to click on the txt hyperlink that appears at the bottom of your error and send me a full screenshot of what you see there too, or paste the full error…

Hey there! To be frank, it’ll be hard specifying where these files came from, especially if this is the first time you’re seeing them on your Dropbox account. You can most definitely check the browsers and devices that are linked to your Dropbox account though from this page and see if there’s something that looks…

You should be able to create a shortcut to your Dropbox folder the same way you would for any other folder on your computer. However, since this may also change depending on your current OS, I can suggest using Google on how to do this based on the OS you’re currently using. The same applies for the “Startup” folder; since…

Thanks for letting us know about this on the forum, @"JoySR"! Can you try copy pasting your screenshot instead and see if that works? As for deleting your external drive backup, I believe you’re following the steps outlined here, correct? Let me know.

If you click on the “Other system tray icons” option that appears in one of your latest screenshots, are you able to add the Dropbox icon to your system tray perhaps? From what I can see, there are no icons showing in your system tray (next to your clock settings) at all, so I believe that’s the issue here.

Thanks for posting on our Community today, @"nomadgnome". If I get this right, you’re referring to this part of our Help Center article concerning the expiration dates of shared links that are generated on a Dropbox team, correct? In general, this acts as an extra security measure for links, so that only specific people…

Hi from me too, @"jlo-nyc"! Thanks for these screenshots. Can you send me one more visual of what you see when opening the camera upload settings on your iOS device (including the albums from which your camera uploads feature is currently uploading images)?
-
Welcome back, @"Paul C.32"; I'm sorry to hear the issue persists. We can still open a ticket for you and investigate this further, for sure. Before that though, can you please go through all the info in this Help Center article and let me know if there’s a potential cause that’s listed there? This will help us isolate the…

Hi again! From the screenshots you've sent us above, it seems like you’re clicking on the Dropbox folder which has been pinned on to your taskbar, which is why you see the files/folders in your Dropbox folder in your File Explorer after that. Can you also send me a screenshot of the options you have in your system tray,…

Hey @"btfulvbgrl"! Thanks for posting about this here. So, to clarify, this is the first time you're seeing these files on your Dropbox account, correct? If you go to your Events page here, do you see anything more regarding those files or not really? I also had a look into our system in the meantime and I can see you’ve…

Hi @"klubasek"! Thanks for posting this on our Community. You don’t happen to have any other devices that are currently linked to the Dropbox account in question, right? I’m asking because, if you do, you can look at their notifications and the one-time code may have been sent there, too. You can sign in to your Dropbox…

Glad to hear that did the trick for you, @"Mrmatte"! Don’t hesitate to give me a nudge, if you need something else.
-
Hey @"stuartcalder"! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in. Can you clarify what you mean when saying that you’ve deselected the Dropbox folder and pressed “Update”? If you can send me a screenshot of where you’re clicking exactly, that’d be great so that I can have a visual, too.
-
Can you also send me a full screenshot of the icon with what you see right after clicking on it?
-
Hi @"Brian286"! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in here. Since the Dropbox folder is no longer in its default location, you’d need to manually update the directory that appears in the code of the PowerShell script here; this way, you should be able to ignore files in your Dropbox folder, even after being moved.
-
Thanks for posting about this on the Community, @"thomehm". Can you send me a screenshot of which Dropbox icon you’re clicking on exactly? The one that allows you to change your Dropbox app preferences should be located in your system tray, at the bottom right part of your screen, along with your clock and language…

Thanks for your post, @"Marc S.7". If you're part of a Dropbox team, can you check if these users have been added to your approved list of external collaborators? If they have, you can remove them this way. If that’s not the case though, I’d like a screenshot of where they appear exactly as suggestions on your Dropbox…

Welcome back to our Community, @"aarceng". From what I can see, you had a similar request a few months back and Rich has replied to you here. Let me know if you need further help, though.

Hi from me too, @"Dvan"! I know it’s been a while since last September, but do you remember if all of the files in your local Dropbox folder were set as available offline or online-only instead?
-
Thanks for the screenshot! Moving a team folder isn’t currently possible, so this shouldn’t appear as an option under neither the Content tab of your Admin Console or your Dropbox homepage. You should be able to delete a team folder though this way. Can you send me a full screenshot of what you see under your homepage…
-
Hey @"sdeba"! Can I log a ticket for you to the email address you see here?
-
Hey @"SHelp2"! I can see you’ve already reached our support team regarding this. I’ve left them an internal note, so that they can review your request as soon as possible.
-
I’m sorry to hear about this, @"martini". Can you clarify the type of Dropbox plan you have? If you’re on Dropbox Basic/Plus, I’m afraid it’s not possible to restore any files/folders 30 days after their deletion.
-
I’m glad to see you were able to resolve the matter, @"graestar888"! Thanks for the tips you’ve left our users, as well. If you need something else, feel free to give me a nudge.
-
Thanks for posting on our forum, @"dajo". Can you double check if your security key follows the required standards that are mentioned here? If it does, please let me know and we’ll look into this further.
-
Hey @"Help2025", thanks for your post. How did you upload your files exactly to Dropbox from your external hard drive? Can you walk me through the exact steps that you took and the Dropbox platform you used (website/desktop app)? Also, before disconnecting your drive, did you make sure that all of the photos had been fully…

Hey @"CaroStanners"! Thanks for posting this on our Community. Do you mean that you’d like to move/rename the team folders that you see under the Content tab of your Admin Console? If yes, please try renaming your team folders with these steps instead from your homepage directly. As for moving the team folders, that’s not…
