Hi @"SarahP" Aha! You are on PayPal. So the only way to do this is to cancel the PayPal subscription. Wait for it to expire and downgrade your account (dont worry, data is safe!) and then upgrade again either via PayPal or the website to the annual plan.
-
I'd say you need to speak to the last Team you were part of - school if that is where you got the account
-
Hi @"Lmaooo" One of two things. How long ago did you last use the account? If over 12 months the account has been wiped and data is not recoverable If less than that and you are on a Team you need to speak to the Admin of that team for help
-
That isnt possible. You cannot update the email without accessing support: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access (and even then they may say they cannot do it)
-
If you have access then you need to download everything and set up a new account. Thats the quickest and easiest way of doing so. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access
-
https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access is what you need to look at If you already have an account with a diff email just log on and start using it ( www.dropbox.com/forgot if you are unsure of password). If you can still get on the hotmail account download it all and reupload to the 'right' account.

Hi @"SveBe" If you want to collaborate like GDocs you need to open the file on the website. There is no way to open and edit it without conflicts if you do so locally on your machine - because each of you have opened a totally separate version of the file.
-
You need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support and ask for assistance.

@"Dropp" wrote: Is it possible this domain could have been used in the past? Its certainly not one I've ever heard of being used by Dropbox. That list from @"Rich" also includes historic ones, so, my guess is its a scam. Also, given that its registered by an individual in the UK and not Dropbox its almost certainly not…

Is it giving any error @"Marta SC" ? Different plans have different options etc. relating to Sign

@"ruffabit2" wrote:Thanks @"Mark" SubFolder2 is a subfolder of TopFolder and the user who "removed their access to the shared folder SubFolder2" is not the owner of TopFolder. How can a nonowner unshare a subfolder? This seems like a huge security issue. Unshares happen if the file is deleted, so if the file was deleted…

@"ruffabit2" wrote:Thanks @"Walter" Actually, it was easy to get the folder back - just recreate it. The real problem is that there was no history of the files that were in that folder, hence they could not be restored. Also note, the files were missing for all 200 users that share the folder. Once a share is unshared it…

Quickest and easiest thing to do is just set up a new account.

So Dropbox is a cloud storage solution but works differently to say iCloud where things 'vanish' locally. They stay on the computer/device unless you state otherwise. This means that if you have large files, or, ones you use a lot, you dont have to worry about the internet being down for example. It also helps remove…

Have you actually linked the Cord Tracker app to Dropbox? You will need to do that bit first. The /Apps folder is a none user based on (i.e. its set up and configured by applications not end users).

Hi @"OldTimeMusician" Welcome! Is it Dropbox or your computer complaining it is full? My suspicions are that it is the computer. Dropbox is a folder on your machine like any other - and so crucially it uses up space (unless its told not to AFTER files have uploaded!). However, that means if you have data elsewhere on a…

Have you made sure the account on the mobile device that you paid for is using the same email as the account you have on Dropbox?

Out of interest @"dumbquestion" what IS the folder? If its a Dropbox created one (Vault, Camera Upload, File Requests) it isnt possible to share it

@"fdsfsadf" wrote:Please update this, so "Dropbox Plus" sole proprietors" outside IR/UK can apply reverse charge here. aint everyon running a 5000 people company.... All that would do though would be to increase the cost of the product by the rate of VAT.

You just need to wait the ban out I'm afraid. It'll usually clear within 24 hours if if is your first one.
-
Have you looked at Dropbox Rewind?
-
Is this via the web portal? If so there is no way of forcing it to not overwrite a file if that name already exists.
-
Thats not a Dropbox issue - its one in Canva I'm afraid. My guess is that you've downloaded versions of the actual 'finished' project as images because Canva doesnt allow you to download editable files. Everything like that stays on Canva itself. So, when you saved to Dropbox you downloaded a graphic representation of the…

Hi @"ruffabit2" If the version history and restore options are missing it means that EITHER the folder has been unshared or you have been removed from it. Can you rejoin at www.dropbox.com/share or get somebody to reinvite you back?
-
Yes even if you see the file in the Events list you cannot recover beyond your own limit.
-
Hi When you logged out did you also either delete or rename the Dropbox folder on your device? If you didnt when you tried to log in again Dropbox will realise that theres already an install there and try and use it. Simply put, Dropbox is not designed to do what you are trying/want to do and doing so is going to put you…
-
Hi @"Kansit" Unfortunately not. Once outside of the recovery window (i.e. 30 days here) they are not recoverable. Thats the same even if you pay. Have you asked the other party if they have copies still? They could have just moved to another directory?

@"DebraV" wrote:Hi thanks for your response. One account is an organisational one and the other is my personal account. I was wondering if there is a way of viewing either one or the other via the pc app. Is there a way to log out of one to allow the other to appear? The only way to do this is set up a second user account…
