Hey @"mikes425", thanks for posting to our Community! A Dropbox shared link gives access to the contents of the file/folder it's created for. So, basically, if you share a link to the parent folder, your recipients will be able to access all the subfolders as well. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any…

Hey @"mcarrasco", we can only contact you to the email address linked to your Community profile here. I will follow up with you, so we can move forward with the process about the affected account.

Hey @"Andrea211", if I understand correctly, you're not receiving the one-time security code needed to login to your Dropbox account. Have you checked your spam folder, to see if the email went there? If not, make sure to also add no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts and try again.en I can't receive the 6-digit code to log in to my Dropbox account Comentario por Hannah April 2023

Hey @"Noi_Sela", sorry to jump in here! The size of the file request depends on the account of the user that is sending it, which is the account of the person you want to upload files to. * Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Family customers can request files up to 2 GB. * Customers on Dropbox Professional, Standard, Advanced, and…

Thanks, @"emphyrio". The brown box icons are probably OneDrive related, so can you disable OneDrive, to see if that helps with the Dropbox icons too? If it doesn't, please also follow these steps and let us know how it goes.
-
Not a problem, @"mcarrasco", I just sent you an email, so we'll continue there. 🙂
-
Sorry to jump in here as well, @"suirauqa"! If you click on the Dropbox icon, then on your initials/profile pic and then on "view sync issues", does the app report anything there? Also, if you navigate to your Dropbox folder, do you see the files that are still syncing? They should have an icon on them, indicating that…

Hey @"Kluski", sorry to jump in here, but I'm afraid that Excel files cannot currently be converted through Dropbox. You can see a list of file types you can convert here.
-
Thanks for the update here, @"emphyrio". It seems you're running the beta version of the Dropbox app, which might be affecting this. Can you turn off the "early releases" option here and then reinstall the Dropbox app, to see if you get a different behavior?
-
Not a problem, @"wolfdrop"! Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
-
Hey @"wolfdrop", I assume you're referring to the new Dropbox for macOS update, right? This is actually expected behavior with newly added files, but also, if the app detects that you're running low on hard drive space, it will also automatically switch your files to online-only. You can see more info about this and other…

Thanks for the update, @"mcarrasco". Can we send you an email, then, so we can look into this a bit more closely?
-
Hey @"emphyrio", thanks for posting your question today! Are you currently on a Windows or a Mac computer? Also, when you switched the files to "available offline", what kind of icon did they get next to them? And what's the sync status and version of the Dropbox application on your computer? You can hover over your…

Happy to hear that it was fixed, @"djrocks66"! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great day!
-
Hey @"mcarrasco", just to confirm, have you checked your spam folder, to see if the email went there? And also added no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts?
-
Hey @"djrocks66", apologies for the delay here, can you please follow these steps, to see if they help? - Save any files that you have open and close any applications - Click on the Apple icon in the top left of your screen - Click on "force quit" - Relaunch the Finder

Thanks for the update here, @"karkness". Are you on the most recent version of both your iOS/iPap OS and the Dropbox app on your devices? If not, can you try updating them, to see if that helps?
-
I see, thanks, Steve. Are these links to files that are currently set to online-only or available offline? If they're online-only, can you change them to available offline, to see if that makes a difference?
-
Hey @"todt", sorry to jump in here. Generally, when the word "conflict" is appended to a file name, it means that the file is being edited by two devices at the same time. You can see more info about the conflicted copies here. However, it's strange that the entire file name changes. Do you see anything related to this in…

Hey @"karkness", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you having this issue on both your iPad and your iPhone? And did it start at the same time for both devices? Can you tap on "account", then on the gear icon, then on "clear cache" and then restart Dropbox, to see if that helps? Keep me posted.
-
Thanks for the clarification, @"cloudres"! This is still something that is controlled by your OS settings (if it can actually be changed). There's no setting on Dropbox that would allow you to change the size of the preview. Have you looked into your OS settings, to see if you can change it?
-
Sorry to jump in here, @"SteveBraff". How were the hyperlinks created? Are they Dropbox shared links? If, as a test, you replace a hyperlink with the link to the location of the file in your local Dropbox folder, does that help?
-
Thanks! Just sent you an email, so we'll continue there. 🙂
-
Hey @"ianmh", thanks for your post. Does this icon take you to your Dropbox folder, when clicked on? If so, that's actually the normal behavior of the Dropbox app and it can't be disabled through Dropbox. Perhaps there's a way to hide the icon through your OS settings. Let me know how it goes.
-
Hey @"danclarkis", thanks for the update. Can we send you an email, so we can investigate this further?
-
Hey @"Marina Matic", thanks for the screenshot. Actually, the moment that you joined the Family plan, your Professional trial was automatically cancelled. You should be able to check the personal subscription history here. I hope this helps!
-
Sorry to jump in here, @"BG Mahesh". If you don't really care about backing up the computer files on your new machine and only want your Dropbox files to be available on it, Dropbox-wise, you can simply install the Dropbox app on the new machine, sign into your account and the app itself will sync your files; no migration…

Thanks for the update, Sarah. Can I send you an email, so we can look into this internally?

Hey @"gc3", are you able to find this file in your Dropbox folder? If so, can you move it out of the Dropbox folder, to see if that helps? Also, what you see when you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar?
