@Jay @Nancy I have done everything possible. Nothing works. I am convinced that there is something wrong at Dropbox. That someone needs to press a reset button. How do I arrange that? Thanks for your help.

Thanks @Jay ! Good one. Close but not yet solved. There seems to be a back-up but I don't know where. Following your link doesn't help. It's in Dutch but may be this helps. When I cick on the 3 dots right under and click delete the systems says there ís nothing to delete.
